Al Redentore Di Venezia Overview
First Impressions
When I first stepped off the vaporetto at Giudecca and walked along the quiet fondamenta to find Al Redentore Di Venezia, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. This four-star boutique hotel sits tucked away on one of Venice’s most peaceful islands, and you know what? That’s exactly its charm. The building itself has that understated Venetian elegance — no flashy signs or tourist crowds, just a beautifully restored palazzo that feels like a well-kept secret.
The Giudecca Advantage
Here’s something most tourists don’t realize — staying on Giudecca means you get authentic Venice without the chaos. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute boat ride from San Marco, but when you come back in the evening, it’s like entering a different world. The locals actually live here, kids play in the small campos, and you can walk along the waterfront without dodging selfie sticks. From the hotel’s location, you get those postcard views of the Doge’s Palace and San Giorgio Maggiore, but honestly, the best part is just watching the city wake up across the water each morning.
The Room Experience
I’ll be straight with you — the rooms aren’t huge (this is Venice, after all), but they’re thoughtfully designed and incredibly comfortable. The beds really are as good as everyone says — I actually slept better here than I have in much pricier hotels. Each room has its own character, with original beams and carefully chosen furnishings that feel authentically Venetian without being overdone. The bathrooms are modern and well-appointed, which is more than you can say for a lot of historic properties in the city.
Daily Rhythms
Breakfast happens in a lovely space that opens onto a small garden — something you rarely find in central Venice. It’s not an elaborate buffet, but everything is fresh and local, and the staff actually remembers how you like your coffee after a day or two. The real magic, though, is stepping outside in the early morning when the mist is still rising off the lagoon. You can walk to the Redentore church (it’s right there, hence the hotel’s name) or just sit by the water with an espresso from the nearby bar and watch the city come alive.
Why Guests Love It
What strikes me most about this place is how it manages to feel both peaceful and connected. You’re away from the tourist madness but never isolated — the vaporetto connections are frequent and reliable. Couples especially seem drawn to the romantic atmosphere, and I get it. There’s something about watching the sunset paint the Palazzo Ducale golden from your quiet perch on Giudecca that just works. The staff treats you like a neighbor rather than just another tourist, and after a few days, you start to feel like you’re living in Venice rather than just visiting it. That’s not something you can easily find in the main part of the city anymore.

It was spotlessly clean. Plenty of room for a family beautifully decorated. No problem with location as the transport in Venice is fantastic..would definitely recommend it.

We loved everything. The apartment was excellent, exactly like the pictures advertised. The view is gorgeous and the location was the best of it all. Its a Very quite area with boat stops near by and just a few minutes away from the busy areas. We had all we need it for the stay (kitchen wise). The staff was also very very friendly to us. 10/10

Electronic key. Worked well once I had figured it out!
What could be improved: Emailing passport pictures and picture of credit card to pay room taxes prior to visit (no person at desk to do this on arrival).Monique from United Kingdom – 27 January 2025 (10/10)
My stay at Al Redentore di Venezia was truly exceptional. My family and I had the pleasure of enjoying a marvellous accommodation. The apartment we stayed in was spacious, well-equipped, and impeccably clean.
The communication with the staff was outstanding, especially with Elisa, who was always readily available to address our requests and cater to our needs with remarkable efficiency and kindness.
The hotel is situated in a peaceful and safe area, conveniently located near public water transport stations (vaporetto or water bus), making it easy to explore Venice.
I highly recommend Al Redentore di Venezia for anyone seeking a comfortable and memorable stay in this enchanting city.Sally from United Kingdom – 27 January 2025 (10/10)
Beautifully presented, thoughtfully laid out especially the area for luggage and clothes. So quiet and beautiful views of the canal and the lagoon.
What could be improved: Niente!Vadym from Czech Republic – 20 January 2025 (10/10)
It was clean, comfortable, two bathrooms is perfect for a family of four. Also we had water, tee and coffee capsules as a gift
What could be improved: It is situated on an island, so to get there you have to pay 9.50€ for each for 2 minutes of a ride on the public transportOlga from Russia – 18 January 2025 (9/10)
We really liked the authentisity and at the same time modernity of the apartment. The bed, bathroom, everything – all are comfortable! The view to the channel is great and trully venetian!
What could be improved: Just one thing: we needed to leave our bags at the reception but decided not to do it because it seemed that it would be left unattendedJana from Serbia – 13 January 2024 (10/10)
The location was fantastic, close to the boat station that would take you to St.Marco, but quiet and romantic, 2m from the sea. Apartment was clean, spacious, kitchen had everything you need, bathroom too. You could leave your bags before and after the check in/out in the center at the main hotel, so you could walk without bags.
What could be improved: Pillows were a bit too big for me, but probably good for most of the pepple.
