The three-star hotel sits quietly in the Santa Croce district, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.3 out of 10, you know there’s something special about where this place sits in Venice.

Here’s what I love about staying in this part of Venice — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the chaos around San Marco to actually breathe. The Santa Croce area feels more like where real Venetians live, if that makes sense. You can walk to the train station easily (which is huge when you’re dragging luggage), but you’re also just a pleasant stroll from the Rialto Bridge and all the main attractions. The Rio Marin canal right outside gives you those postcard-perfect views without the crowds of tourists constantly snapping photos.

What You’re Actually Getting

Look, this is a solid, well-run hotel that does the basics really well. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with that slightly old-world charm you expect in Venice without feeling dated or worn down. The staff actually knows the neighborhood and can point you toward the good local spots, which honestly matters more than fancy amenities when you’re exploring a city like this. You know what impressed me most? How quiet it was at night, despite being so centrally located.

Getting Around and Exploring

The location score of 9.3 isn’t just marketing fluff — it really is that well-positioned. You can walk to the Piazzale Roma in about ten minutes, which connects you to buses and the airport shuttle. But more importantly, you’re in this sweet spot where you can explore different neighborhoods easily. Cross the bridge and you’re in Dorsoduro with all its galleries, or head the other direction toward Cannaregio for some of the best cicchetti bars in the city. I found myself coming back to the hotel during the day just because it was so easy to drop off shopping bags or take a quick break.

Why Guests Love It

After staying here, I totally get why couples rate it so highly — there’s something romantic about the quieter canals in this area, especially in the evening when the day-trippers have headed back to the mainland. The hotel gives you that authentic Venetian experience without breaking the bank or dealing with the tourist circus. It’s one of those places where the location really does most of the work — you step outside and you’re immediately in the Venice you came to see, not the Venice that’s been packaged for tour groups. For the price point and the neighborhood, it’s actually a pretty smart choice.

  Fantastic area, short walk to the train, bus, ferries and people mover. Great area, perfectly safe, an easy 5 min walk to Grand Canal, close to restaurants, cafes and Gift shops, a small supermarket across the bridge. Staff are friendly and helpful, we arrived early from Paris and were given a room right away a huge bonus, on check out the hotel stored our bags before our cruise.. wonderful would stay again.

  We were pleasantly surprised on our arrival. Without waiting for it we had a room overlooking the canal, bathroom in the room, everything super clean, spacious room, very comfortable bed, if you like modern furniture this is not your place, very nice staff. To get to the hotel from Marco Polo airport we chose the vaporetto to and from there, about 10 minutes walk. For us the location was perfect because we like to walk and get lost in the streets of Venice, about 10 or 15 minutes from the Rialto Bridge. If we come back I would repeat in this accommodation.
