Appartamento Cassiano Rialto Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Appartamento Cassiano Rialto for the first time, I’ll be honest — I almost missed it. This four-star gem sits tucked away on the first floor of a classic Venetian building in San Polo, and there’s something wonderfully authentic about how unassuming it feels from the street. You know what struck me immediately? The location is absolutely unbeatable, and I mean that — this area scored a 9.9 for location, which in Venice is basically hitting the jackpot.
The Heart of San Polo
Here’s the thing about staying in San Polo — you’re literally in the center of everything that matters in Venice, but without the crushing crowds of San Marco. The Rialto Bridge is practically on your doorstep (hence the name), and I found myself wandering to the famous market most mornings just because I could. What I really loved was how this neighborhood feels like actual Venice — you’ll pass locals heading to work, not just tourists with selfie sticks. The narrow streets around here are filled with those little bacari (wine bars) that guidebooks always mention but you actually get to experience when you’re staying this centrally.
The Apartment Experience
This isn’t your typical hotel room situation — it’s a proper apartment that feels like someone’s carefully curated Venetian home. The space has this wonderful lived-in elegance, with period details that remind you you’re sleeping in a building that’s probably older than your home country. I particularly appreciated the kitchen setup, which meant I could grab fresh ingredients from the Rialto market and actually cook something instead of eating out every single meal (your wallet will thank you). The furnishings strike that perfect balance between comfort and character — nothing feels like it came from a hotel catalog.
Why Couples Fall for This Place
I can absolutely see why couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways. There’s something incredibly intimate about having your own Venetian apartment rather than just a hotel room — it feels like you’re actually living in Venice for a few days. The location means you can easily slip away from the tourist masses when you want quiet moments together, but you’re still close enough to all the iconic spots for those must-have romantic Venice experiences. Plus, being able to prepare a simple breakfast and coffee in your own space before heading out to explore? That’s the kind of small touch that makes a trip feel special.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, it comes down to authenticity and location — two things that are increasingly rare in Venice. You’re staying in a real Venetian building, in a real Venetian neighborhood, but with all the comfort and amenities you need as a traveler. The 9.6 rating speaks for itself, but what really matters is how this place lets you experience Venice like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through. When you can walk to the Rialto Bridge in two minutes, stroll to San Marco in ten, and still feel like you’re discovering hidden corners of the city every time you step outside — well, that’s when you know you’ve found something special.
Hotel in Venice reservations spike before Redentore fireworks when the lagoon fills with floating dinners.

Beautiful and spacious apartment. Location was wonderful, quiet and not crowded. The apartment is well equipped and we had everything we needed. The host was friendly and met us at the vaporetto stop to show us the way. We appreciated the umbrellas since it was raining during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
What could be improved: Only feedback is mattresses were very hard/firm but we were fine with that.Monica from Canada – 24 September 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was very well equipped and beautifully decorated with Murano glass throughout. Host was always quickly accessible by e-mail if we had any questions. As promised, host met us coming off the water bus. Mercato was within walking distance as well as many restaurants too.
What could be improved: Nothing! Everything was excellent!Andries from Canada – 26 August 2024 (10/10)
Well appointed. Everything you need. Clean and spacious. Lovely place to stay in good location.
What could be improved: The beds were a little uncomfortable unless you like a very firm mattress. Don’t run the washer at night since it disrupts your sleep when it drains.Tracy from Canada – 21 August 2024 (10/10)
Everything!! Beautiful apartment with everything you could possibly need and very walkable to all popular spots! Host was fantastic, very accommodating! Highly, highly recommend!!!

Host meeting us at the vaporetto stop then walking with us to the accommodation was invaluable.
The property was amazing we loved all the mix old and modern features with fabulous local art/glass collections.
Facilities were great for a family of 5 with older children. It was a pleasure to come back to the property after a long day exploring Venice.Jennifer from Canada – 9 August 2024 (10/10)

Excellent apartment with caring attention to detail. The owners Murano glass collection was stunning and an unexpected bonus.

Excellent location, close to all the main attractions. Stunning apartment that was furnished to a very high standard.
What could be improved: There was nothing not to like. Only suggestion would be an automatic light above the main entrance door to aid entry.I-chun from Taiwan – 9 July 2024 (10/10)
Great location, great guest and superb apartment

Apartment is as beautiful and as well appointed as indicates in the photos. Perfect location and remarkably quiet for how central it is, a very easy 5 min stroll to Rialto Bridge. Spar supermarket for any grocery needs is just 2 min walk away.
Beds are super comfortable (including sofa bed), everything clean and organised, kitchen and bathroom facilities comprehensive, showers are perfect. Contact with the hosts was immediate and incredibly helpful. We were met at the dock and walked to the apartment, where they went through everything with us, and made sure we were comfortable and feeling welcomed.
A perfect stay.
