Appartamento Rialto Laura Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow streets of San Marco to find Appartamento Rialto Laura feels like you’re following a treasure map — and honestly, that’s part of the charm. This three-star apartment sits right in the thick of things at San Marco 5474, which means you’re literally steps away from everything that makes Venice magical. I mean, when couples rate the location 9.9 out of 10, you know you’ve stumbled onto something special.
The Heart of Venice
You know what struck me most about staying here? The morning routine becomes this incredible experience where you step outside and you’re already surrounded by centuries of history. The Rialto Bridge is practically your neighbor, and St. Mark’s Square — well, it’s close enough that you can pop over for an evening aperitivo without any planning. The location score of 9.9 isn’t just a number; it actually reflects how rare it is to find accommodation this central at a reasonable price point. During the day, you’re in the middle of all the action, but surprisingly, the evenings get quieter as the day-trippers head back to the mainland.
The Space Itself
The apartment has that authentic Venetian feel — you’re not getting a sterile hotel room here, but rather a genuine slice of local life. The space feels lived-in in the best possible way, with those characteristic touches that remind you you’re staying in a real Venetian building. I found the setup pretty practical for exploring the city; there’s enough space to spread out your maps and plan your wanderings, plus you can actually store some groceries if you want to grab fresh bread from the local bakeries. The 8.1 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting this prime location at a reasonable price point.
Daily Life in San Marco
What I loved about the location is how it puts you right in the rhythm of Venetian daily life. Early mornings, you’ll hear the delivery boats navigating the canals — it’s like having the city’s heartbeat as your alarm clock. The nearby streets have those tiny shops where locals actually buy their groceries, not just tourist trinkets. You can grab your morning coffee at the same bars where Venetians stop on their way to work, which honestly beats any hotel breakfast setup. The evening passeggiata (that’s the Italian evening stroll) becomes your entertainment as you watch the neighborhood come alive after the tourist crowds thin out.
Why Guests Love It
The thing about Appartamento Rialto Laura is that it gives you something most Venice accommodations can’t — you actually feel like you live there, even if it’s just for a few days. Couples especially seem to get this; there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of Venice rather than just passing through. The combination of that unbeatable location and the authentic apartment experience creates this perfect balance where you’re close enough to everything important, but you still get to experience Venice like a temporary local rather than just another tourist.

Reviews of Appartamento Rialto Laura
Laura from Spain – 28 September 2024 (9/10)
The location of the apartment is excellent, It was clean, tidy and with all the facilities you need, and the attention of Laura and her recommendations, highly recommended
What could be improved: Overall all very properAlison from United Kingdom – 18 July 2024 (9/10)
Spotlessly clean. Air con unit was a must as it was so hot and humid. The apartment is perfectly located, 2mins from Rialto Bridge and 10min walk to St Marks Square. The apartment is in a very old building and is comfortable , with a good shower. Authentic Venitian, we loved it, very quiet despite the hustle and bustle on the street downstairs. Like a little oasis. The owner Laura, was lovely and met us with the keys when we arrived. She provided lots of information on how to get from the airport, and gave us a map. Also recommendations for resturants in the area. We had a wonderful trip.
What could be improved: Nothing it was lovely.Laura from Brazil – 22 June 2024 (9/10)
The location is excellent, it has everything nearby. Big comfy bed, good shower and kitchen.
What could be improved: I had some problem with the internet, but it wasn't a property problem. The building right in front of it was renovating and had a lot of metal structure around it, blocking the internet signal, so be alerted about it.Chris from United Kingdom – 4 November 2023 (9/10)
Great location close to the Rialto bridge, restaurants and shops. Bed was very comfortable, apartment is well equipped and spacious. Very quiet at night despite the central location.
What could be improved: Not much natural light but this may be normal in Venice .Bruce from Australia – 16 October 2023 (9/10)
Fabulous central location close to Rialto Bridge, cafes, supermarket etc. Laura was very helpful meeting us at vaporetto stop and giving map and local hints. Apartment had everything we needed for a few nights, although we only used the cooktop to make espresso.
What could be improved: Stairs a little narrow and steep (but only 1 floor up), and can be a bit noisy at night. Closing windows helps if that's a concern. Bathroom is small but adequate.Edward from United Kingdom – 11 October 2023 (9/10)
Very central location.
Sergei from Russia – 29 September 2023 (9/10)
The location is great, right in the center of everything. Just a few minutes walk from Rialto bridge. Railroad/bus terminals can be reached by 25-minutes walk or by boat from nearby station. The apartment is in a traditional building on a narrow historical side-street and fully matches description and photos. Laura was very helpful meeting us near the apartment on arrival and providing local tips for travellers.
What could be improved: – the apartment is on a busy and touristy side-street, however at night time it’s usually quiet and does not disturb your sleep
– in case of hot weather it could be warm inside as the old building is not equipped with air conditioning and windows on a narrow side-streets does not provide much airflow.David from Canada – 19 May 2023 (8/10)
We loved the location, a minute and you were at the Rialto Bridge or 5 mins to Saint Marks Square. The apartment was very secure as well which is important. Laura had everything there that you would need and she meet us at the bridge when we arrived and gave us all kinds of good information.
What could be improved: The bed was a bit on the hard side.Jack from Canada – 14 May 2023 (8/10)
The location could not be better as it was in the heart of the city.Laura was a great host and gave us her time to help plan our stay in Venice. We really enjoyed the whole experience and would definately return to the same place
Elizabeth from United Kingdom – 26 April 2023 (8/10)
Great location in central Venice S Marco area. Short walk from Rialto vaporetto stop. Contained everything we needed for a short stay. Very clean. Secure. Good shower. Comfy bed. Only 2 rooms but felt spacious. The host was very welcoming and gave us some good tips for our stay.
What could be improved: A little dark but that will be the same with a lot of Venetian properties due to the town house architecture in narrow streets! Living area a little bit shabby.
