The building itself has that understated Venetian charm that doesn’t scream “hotel” from the outside, which I actually prefer.

Here’s what I love about staying in this area — you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Accademia Bridge, but you can also duck into neighborhood bacari (those tiny wine bars locals frequent) that most tourists never discover. The Zattere promenade is right there too, perfect for morning runs or evening strolls along the Giudecca Canal. You know what’s really nice? The area gets quieter at night since it’s more residential, so you’ll actually get some sleep — something that’s harder to come by near the main tourist drags.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had those classic Venetian touches — exposed beams, terrazzo floors, and yes, canal views that actually live up to the hotel’s name. The windows open wide (thank goodness, because Venice can get stuffy), and you can hear the gentle lapping of water and occasional gondolier calls. It’s not massive — this is Venice, after all — but everything feels thoughtfully arranged. The bathroom was modern enough without losing the building’s character, which is honestly a tricky balance that many Venetian hotels mess up.

Getting Around

The Ca’ Rezzonico vaporetto stop is practically at your doorstep, which connects you to the Grand Canal line — super handy for getting to the train station or exploring other sestieri. But here’s a local tip: walking is often faster than taking water buses for shorter distances, and the Dorsoduro area has some of the most pleasant walking routes in the city. The Accademia Bridge is about a seven-minute walk, putting you within easy reach of San Marco when you want to do the tourist thing, but far enough away that you won’t be fighting crowds every time you step outside.

  Geräumiges Apartment mit bequemen Betten und einer Couch, die auch zwei Personen genug Platz und Komfort bietet. Die Lage des Apartments ist gut und ruhig.
  
  What could be improved: Obwohl kommuniziert wurde, das dass Apartment um 15:00 Uhr fertig sein würde, wurde mit der Reinigung erst um 15:10 Uhr begonnen. Das Geschirr mussten wir vor Benutzung auch erst reinigen.
