BW Premier Collection CHC Continental Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to BW Premier Collection CHC Continental on Lista Di Spagna, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Venice. This four-star property sits right in Cannaregio, which honestly feels like the sweet spot between tourist accessibility and authentic Venetian life. The building itself has that classic Venetian charm — you know, the kind where you can picture centuries of travelers passing through these same doors.
Location That Actually Makes Sense
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally steps from Santa Lucia train station, which means no dragging luggage over countless bridges (trust me, your back will thank you). But here’s the thing: despite being so close to the station, you’re not stuck in some sterile transit zone. The Lista Di Spagna area buzzes with local cafes and shops, and couples especially seem to get this — they’ve rated the location 9.5 out of 10. I mean, when you can easily reach St. Mark’s Square but also duck into a neighborhood bacaro for cicchetti, that’s pretty much Venice perfection.
The Room Experience
The rooms here strike that balance between comfort and character that’s actually harder to find than you’d think in Venice. You’ll get modern amenities without feeling like you’re in some generic hotel chain — the design nods to Venetian tradition without going overboard with the theme. What really matters is that after a long day of wandering the city’s maze-like streets, you have a proper room to retreat to. The beds are genuinely comfortable, and honestly, good sleep in Venice can be precious when you’re dealing with thin walls in converted palazzos elsewhere.
Breakfast Worth Waking Up For
The breakfast setup here covers both Italian and American styles, which sounds simple but actually works really well. You can go full Italian with excellent coffee and pastries, or if you need something more substantial before a day of sightseeing, there are heartier American options too. I appreciate that they don’t try to be everything to everyone — just solid choices done properly. The restaurant area has a relaxed morning vibe where you can actually plan your day without feeling rushed.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Venice can be overwhelming, and this hotel gets that. The location score of 9.4 isn’t just a number — it reflects how much easier your Venice experience becomes when you’re staying somewhere this well-positioned. You’re close enough to major sights that you won’t spend half your day navigating, but far enough from the St. Mark’s crowds that you can breathe. The staff understands Venice logistics too, which matters more than you might think when you’re trying to figure out water taxi schedules or the best route to avoid tourist bottlenecks. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in Venice, not just visiting it.

Excellent location, being only a short walk from the train station. Easy to then explore the rest of Venice using the hotel as a base. Staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful as well, in particular Nicola on reception – who is a credit to this hotel!
Eileen from United States – 18 December 2024 (9/10)
location: close to the station and on the grand canal. I enjoyed my stay so much, I extended the days.
But the staff was the outstanding part of my stay. After the first room did not work for me they changed my room and even relocated my luggage!
I wanted a hotel with an option of a restaurant. After 10 hrs enjoying Venice often I do not enjoy going out again to find a restaurant. And a restaurant that did not question that you were eating solo! Bravo!
What could be improved: I asked to sit out on the canal veranda during a rare sunny day and was told no. With limited Italian I cold not understand why.
I prefer a room within the hotels I stay in. Staying in the building across the small courtyard made me uncomfortable although there are two security doors but you still must dress for rain and cold to go to breakfast!
* note: look up for the hotel sign, it is easy to miss Also, you need to tell the front desk if the room is too cold,, this was very importantJayanthi from Singapore – 14 December 2024 (9/10)
