Ca’ Meraviglia’s location really is exceptional — I mean, couples consistently rate it 9.3 out of 10, and after spending time here, I get why. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from St. Mark’s Square, but you don’t have to deal with the crowds every time you step outside. The neighborhood has these wonderful little bacari (local wine bars) and family-run shops that you’d never find if you stayed near the main tourist drags. Plus, the nearest vaporetto stop is close enough that exploring other parts of Venice becomes effortless.

The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of historic character and modern comfort — exposed wooden beams overhead, but also reliable Wi-Fi and air conditioning that actually works. What struck me most was the attention to detail: hand-painted tiles in the bathroom, quality linens that felt genuinely luxurious, and windows that opened onto either canal views or charming courtyard scenes. The space felt intimate rather than cramped, which is honestly impressive given that this is Venice we’re talking about. Storage was surprisingly adequate too, something you definitely can’t take for granted in historic Italian hotels.

Mornings here have this lovely, unhurried quality — you can grab breakfast at the nearby café that the staff recommends (they actually know the owner personally), then wander back through the quiet morning streets before the day-trippers arrive. The hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, but honestly, that’s part of what makes it special. You’re encouraged to explore the neighborhood, and the front desk staff — who seem to genuinely love their city — will point you toward places that locals actually frequent. Evenings are equally magical, especially when you return after dinner to find the narrow streets lit by those iconic Venetian street lamps.

  Terrific location. We called a cell number when we arrived. Door unlocked remotely. Key was available on a table by the door. We felt like we were residents of Venice, not tourists on vacation. Spacious and clean.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Beware…You have to walk up a flight of stairs.

  Dream place in the heart of Venice. A bit tricky to find, after that it was great. Large spaces beautiful decorated in a very old building. There is no much natural light but it was ok for us. Almost no contact with staff but it generated no problems. We would love to return

  What could be improved: there is an exorbitant fee to get your key if your flight is after 6 pm. 35 euros for someone to push the button to let you in remotely is an unheard of fee. we notified the owners about our flight to arrive at 6:30 pm. we didn’t stop anywhere and were charge this fee. not even sure it’s legal. the owners send us multiple reminders of this fee which was quite annoying and mentioned that some guests don’t leave required amount. the good impression of the place was ruined by these reminders and this additional money requested for circumstances beyond our control. they need to install a numeric lock and stop irritating their guest with nonstop reminders of the additional payment.
