Situated at 2263 Santa Croce, the hotel provides convenient access to many of Venice’s treasured landmarks while being positioned in one of the city’s more genuine neighborhoods. Santa Croce offers a glimpse into everyday Venetian life that many travelers miss when staying in more touristic areas, making Ca’ Regina an ideal choice for those seeking to immerse themselves in the true essence of Venice.

The highly-rated Ca’ Regina sits within easy walking distance of several notable Venetian attractions. From the hotel, guests can easily reach the magnificent Grand Canal, which is just a short stroll away. The district of Santa Croce is home to the fascinating Natural History Museum and the elegant Ca’ Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art. The hotel’s strategic location near the Piazzale Roma transportation hub also makes arrivals and departures remarkably convenient—a rare advantage in Venice, where navigating with luggage can often be challenging.

Ca’ Regina embodies the intimate charm that has made Venetian boutique hotels so beloved among discerning travelers. The 8.5 guest rating reflects the hotel’s commitment to providing warm, personalized service that larger establishments often cannot match. Housed in a traditional Venetian building that honors the city’s rich architectural heritage, the hotel offers accommodations that blend historic character with modern conveniences. Many guests particularly appreciate returning to the welcoming atmosphere of Ca’ Regina after navigating Venice’s busy main attractions. The Santa Croce district itself adds significantly to the hotel’s appeal, with its network of picturesque canals, authentic neighborhood restaurants serving exceptional Venetian cuisine, and local shops where visitors can discover unique artisanal products. For travelers seeking to experience Venice beyond the standard tourist itinerary, Ca’ Regina serves as both a comfortable haven and a gateway to the more intimate side of this magical floating city. Loved this apartment. Comfortable and close to boat taxi.

What could be improved: No way to make coffee.

  • Pavel from Russia – 9 March 2025 (7/10)

    Super authentic interesting and confortable

  • Stefan from Australia – 5 January 2025 (7/10)

This is an amazing attic apartment with a large enjoyable terrace with views of Venice in all directions. It is far enough from all the major tourist spots to be nice an quiet yet close to everything like restaurants, bars and shops. Very close to S. Stae vaporetto station, 5 min to Rialto and many supermarkets close by. The apartment is clean, spacious, with plenty of hot water and all necessary things. Lots of books and interesting decorations, although the marionettes are slightly creepy, especially in the middle of the night when you go to the bathroom.

What could be improved: The host. No communication except via this site. A reply to an urgent question can take days and no clear answer provided when asked. Help is not offered readily nor is any information or direction. I discovered everything I needed on my own. The last day I was given a list of rules which was too late for me to fulfill. However, to be fair, the history was flexible with the way I paid tourist tax. Another thing is that every morning the door bell rings asking for someone to be let in. This was frustrating when I needed a sleep in.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Kathleen from Australia – 21 April 2024 (9/10)

The location was fantastic. The period property was authentic and most charming. The views are sensational too.

What could be improved: The stairs lol. Four flights with suitcases was hard work. Not wheelchair accessible

  • Travelerone from Norway – 1 October 2022 (7/10)

Great location. Beautiful apartment with everything you need. Short distance to evrrything.
The rooftop is a great place

  • Tillotson from Netherlands – 1 September 2022 (7/10)

Loved staying here! Beautiful place in fabulous location. Has a a sort of creative worldly vibe with antique furniture, elaborate library, art and Indonesian puppets around the place. I found it really quirky and inspiring. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

  • Pam from Australia – 2 June 2022 (9/10)

The place has super quirky and lovely decor, it felt special. Location is great, there's even a canal outside one window, and once I got the hang of the local signage (it's on the 'Ferrovia-Rialto' walking route) I never got lost.

All essentials are provided, and facilities are excellent. The bedroom closet had loads of extra bedding, and the bathroom, laundry and kitchen had plenty of useful supplies. The living area is very appealing, and the rooftop platform is… exciting.

I look forward to staying again in a couple of years, please!

What could be improved: I didn't get the full directions to the front door, so we started with a small panic. But the phone help was fine, I got in after a bit of faff.

There are 72 steps from the street to the accommodation. And more stairs inside. Didn't bother me, but needs to be mentioned.

My bed was a sofa bed, (not the antique one photographed, which must be in the other bedroom) tolerable as a single person but would have been uncomfortable if I'd had my partner with me. A thicker mattress or mattress topper would be nice.
