What I love about staying in San Polo is that you get the real Venice experience without the tourist circus that happens around San Marco. You know what I mean — you can actually walk to a local bacaro for cicchetti without elbowing through selfie sticks. The apartment puts you right where Venetians actually live and work, so you’ll find genuine neighborhood spots that most visitors never discover. Plus, being this close to the Rialto market means you can grab fresh ingredients if you want to cook — though honestly, with all the incredible food nearby, you might not bother with the kitchen.

The Space Itself

The room setup here is pretty smart for Venice standards — and trust me, space is always at a premium in this city. Ca Rialto Apt manages to feel comfortable without being cramped, which is actually quite an achievement when you consider most Venetian buildings are centuries old. The place has that authentic feel you want (think original beams and character) but with modern touches that make your stay actually comfortable. I particularly appreciated having enough space to spread out after long days of wandering around the city’s maze-like streets.

Getting Around

Here’s something most people don’t think about until they’re dragging luggage over bridges — Venice doesn’t exactly have cars or convenient parking. But this location works beautifully because you’re central enough that everything’s walkable, and when you need a vaporetto, you’ve got multiple stops within easy reach. The Rialto area connects you to basically everywhere you want to go, whether that’s catching a water bus to Murano or just hopping across to the other side of the Grand Canal.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.1 rating really shows, and couples especially seem to get it — there’s something romantic about having your own little Venetian hideaway in such a prime spot. You’re close enough to dive into all the action when you want it, but you can also retreat to a quieter corner of the city when the crowds get overwhelming.   A spacious apartment in a wonderful location. Eric was very helpful with check in and helped with our luggage.
  
  What could be improved: The stairs are rather steep. The beds are quite hard, although this may just be a personal preference.

  The location of the property was great. Loved having the washing machine and kitchen facilities. The two bedrooms were quite large. Three air conditioners too. Marcello gave lots of recommendations for places to eat and the couple we tried were great.
  
  What could be improved: The wifi wasn’t great and didn’t work in one of the bedrooms. There was only a small couch in living area, and the shower cavity was as quite small and difficult to manoeuvre in.

  Ca' Rialto is a wonderful apartment, that I will definitely book again when I return to Venice. It's very central, easy to reach (detailed instructions were sent prior to arrival), clean living room, bedroom, bathroom, hallway and kitchen. The host, Erik, who handed over the keys and gave us a little tour of the flat was lovely. The kitchen is fully equipped and all furniture was in great condition. Lastly, the flat has three ACs, one each in the bedrooms and one in the living room/kitchen, which is an absolute luxury. It also has windows on both sides of the building and thus a great air flow. Overall a really great experience!
  
  What could be improved: Only small downside was that the late check-in from 7pm cost us an extra 30€. That was clearly communicated from the beginning though. As far as I remember that's even mentioned on the booking side. It's also somewhat understandable as they only do manual handovers and thus someone had to stay longer for us. The stairs up from street level to the second floor, might be an issue for older folks or someone with a knee injury, but were fun for us to climb. Erik even helped carry the luggage for us.

  Both Marcello and Erik are wonderful. They gave us all the information we needed and even recommendations on where to eat and what to do. The location is amazing, 5min walk to Rialto bridge and 18min walk to San Marco Square. Restaurants and shops very near.
  The flat has dish washer and washing machine, 2 very comfortable bedrooms and lovely kitchen and dining room. Absolutely recommend!
