The room I stayed in had this wonderful mix of Venetian character and modern comfort that actually works. Original beamed ceilings, terrazzo floors that have probably seen a few centuries of guests, but then you’ve got excellent Wi-Fi and a bathroom that doesn’t require contortionist skills to navigate. What really sold me was the terrace access — not every room has it, but if you can snag one, do it. There’s something magical about having your morning espresso while looking out over red-tiled rooftops and catching glimpses of the lagoon between buildings.

Getting Around and Practical Bits

The nearest vaporetto stop is Ca’ Rezzonico, which connects you to the Grand Canal network without the chaos of the main tourist routes. I found myself using the Accademia stop too, especially when heading toward San Marco or across to the train station. Parking isn’t really a thing here (this is Venice, after all), but the staff helped arrange water taxi transfers when I arrived with luggage, which honestly felt pretty special. The whole area is walkable, though you’ll definitely get your steps in navigating the bridges and narrow passages.

  Loved the entrance from the square and original building very beautiful
  
  What could be improved: Plumbing, The showers overflowed, the water wouldn’t drain away. The plug was permanently stuck in the upstairs room. The upstairs Room on terrace felt like being in a glorified shed and smelt odd.
