The Rialto Bridge is maybe a ten-minute walk (though honestly, everything in Venice feels like it takes forever when you’re stopping to peek down every canal). What’s brilliant is that you can actually hear the city breathe here. Morning coffee runs to the local bars, evening strolls along the Fondamenta — it’s where Venetians actually live, you know? The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — and I mean thoughtfully, not just “we crammed a bed in here and called it good.” The windows opened onto a narrow street view, which might sound disappointing until you realize how lovely it is to watch locals going about their daily routines. The bathroom was modern without feeling out of place, and the bed was actually comfortable (not always a given in historic Venetian buildings, trust me). Storage space is limited, but honestly, you’re in Venice — you should be out exploring, not hanging around your room anyway.

Daily Rhythms

Breakfast happens in a cozy space that feels more like someone’s dining room than a hotel restaurant. It’s simple but fresh — good coffee, pastries, the basics done well. What I appreciated was the relaxed timing; no rush to clear out by some arbitrary cutoff. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, offering directions and recommendations without that rehearsed tourism-board enthusiasm. They’ll point you toward the good bacari (local wine bars) and away from the tourist traps, which honestly is worth its weight in gold.

  The building is absolutely stunning – the rooms, classically Venetian – were gorgeous. Check in was easy with Alessandro having sent over the details of where to find the property along with photographs. It was my partners birthday and Alessandro did everything he could to make special, from Prosecco to balloons. He was also contactable throughout the stay and was always willing to answer our questions. Venice was beautiful and, thanks to Alessandro, our holiday was even more special. Thank you.
