Da Bruno Homes Overview
First Impressions
Walking through Venice’s maze of narrow streets to find Da Bruno Homes honestly feels like you’re being let in on a local secret. This four-star property isn’t your typical hotel — it’s actually a collection of beautifully restored apartments scattered throughout Venice‘s historic Castello district. You check in at their main office on Salisada San Lio, where the staff hands you keys like you’re borrowing a friend’s place rather than staying at a commercial property.
Location & Neighborhood
When couples rate the location 9.7 out of 10, you know you’re onto something special. The Castello area puts you right in the thick of authentic Venetian life — you’re close enough to San Marco to walk there in minutes, but far enough away to escape the tourist crowds when you want to. The narrow streets around here are lined with local bakeries and wine bars that most visitors never discover. You’ll find yourself taking different routes each day just because every alley seems to lead somewhere interesting. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of Venice beyond the typical tourist experience.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment feels like stepping into a Venetian home that’s been lovingly maintained for generations. The spaces vary since they’re in different historic buildings, but they all share that authentic character — think exposed beams, original terrazzo floors, and windows that frame perfect slices of canal life. What I really appreciated was having a proper kitchen stocked with everything you need. After a few days of restaurant meals, being able to grab fresh ingredients from the Rialto market and cook at home felt wonderfully convenient and authentic.
Daily Life in Venice
There’s something magical about having your own front door key in Venice — you start to feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary resident. The room layouts are thoughtfully designed, making the most of these historic spaces without losing their charm. I loved how quiet it got at night, especially compared to the busier areas near the main tourist sites. You can actually hear the gentle lapping of water against the buildings, which honestly never gets old. The peaceful atmosphere creates an ideal retreat after exploring the city.
Why Guests Love It
Da Bruno Homes works because it gives you the best of both worlds — the independence of having your own space combined with the support of a professional hospitality team. The location score of 9.7 isn’t just a number; it reflects how perfectly positioned these apartments are for exploring Venice on foot while still feeling like you have a peaceful retreat to return to. Whether you’re planning romantic evening walks along the canals or early morning coffee runs to avoid the crowds, you’re perfectly positioned for whatever Venice throws at you.
Hotel in Venice reservations spike before Redentore fireworks when the lagoon fills with floating dinners.

Everything was wonderful! Excellent accommodation!
Comfortable beds, very clean and excellent location, in the center.
The staff is 10 out of 10, a gentleman who welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed, without us having to ask. Because it was raining, he was kind and left us an umbrella.
Near the accommodation, you have a supermarket, terraces, shops, etc.
Thank you Da Bruno for your hospitality!Teodors from Latvia – 25 March 2025 (9/10)

Great location, a bit noisy in the evening but you can easily deal with it. Clean and comfortable for 4 people, the kitchen is big the two room also big enough, close to everything about 8-10 minutes from rialto and the same distance from San Marco
What could be improved: The knife in the kitchen was dull we can barely cut anything, I hope we get a room with a canal view but there are no option to choose it, every type of room are with the same description it would be good, but you can live with it according to the canal is in the end of your streetMatthew from United States – 24 March 2025 (9/10)
