  The location of this property was perfect for traveling to Venice! Away from the bustle of the Grand Canal (if you desire waking up to the sound of church bells & seagulls) – but close enough to walk right into the morning markets and stroll along the canal. Every window and outdoor area in the home had a picture perfect view of the canal or into the square. This property couldn't be more convenient – as we took a water taxi right to our door! The home was beautifully designed, spacious, comfortable, peaceful and clean. We loved everything about the aesthetic and location of this house!
  
  What could be improved: Given the design and location of this home it is obvious it comes with much history. (which is intriguing) However; when the property is rented to guests I would take down the photos and personal items.

  Convenient to restaurants, grocery and main attractions of Venezia but without the crowds. House is beautifully maintained and very spacious.
  
  What could be improved: The communication with the property management was a little challenging. We arrived in the rain and asked for taxi to be arranged but their description of exactly where to meet was incomplete so we were in the rain for a bit. We were not able to store our bags anywhere upon departure which was a surprise so we had to haul everything to the train station and pay for storage due to late departing train. Since my husband has some mobility issues we needed a water taxi but that turned out to be a challenge too. Finally management was able to help but it felt more like I had to push to get assistance. And this was on top of having been attentive to a major roof leak on their behalf that occurred in the living room during a heavy rain. So…maybe I could attribute this to language barrier or really just the fact that it's just a rental property and service is not as with a hotel.
