Mornings were magic: sunlight filtering through, the distant hum of boats chugging by, and no overwhelming noise from crowds since Cannaregio quiets down after dark, unlike the rowdier spots near Rialto. We cooked up simple pasta dinners in the fully equipped kitchen – induction stove, dishwasher, the works – using goodies from the Rialto Market, which is an easy 15-minute walk across the bridge. That said, it’s not huge – the bathroom’s compact, sort of a squeeze for four people getting ready at once – but hey, in Venice, space is a luxury, and this feels generous compared to some cramped Airbnbs I’ve crashed in.

Honestly, if you’re plotting a Venice trip and want to feel like you’re living like a local rather than just passing through, this is your spot. It’s a four-star setup that punches above its weight, perfect for families or small groups dodging the peak summer madness (aim for April or October to avoid the hordes). You’ll save on eating out by using that kitchen, and being in Cannaregio means you’re steps from the train station for day trips to Murano or Padova – we zipped over effortlessly. Sure, there’s no concierge or room service, but that’s part of the charm; it forces you to explore. I left feeling like I’d uncovered a slice of real Venice, and I’d book it again in a heartbeat – just maybe request an extra fan for those humid nights.

  The place was immaculate and it was spacious. The host left a couple of bottles of water and a loaf of bread. The place has a fan, a/c and washer which is a plus for us backpackers. Host was friendly and able to check us in early. Location was convenient, nearby bakery and restaurants. It is also 10 mins walking distance to the train station and about 15 mins walk to the bus station. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

  דירה במיקום מושלם בתוך הגטו . נהדרת לדתיים בתי כנסת , מסעדה, פיצריה ,מכולת( יש עירוב ) . כבר משלב ההזמנה בעל הדירה היה כל כך אדיב ונחמד , נתן המון טיפים לפני ההגעה ודאג להכל , זמין לענות על כל שאלה במהלך השהות, תקשורת נהדרת. הדירה מצוידת היטב. המטבח מאובזר בצורה יוצאת דופן, פלטה מיחם לשבת. מגבות ענקיות וטובות בשפע. מיטות גדולות . חדרים ענקיים ספה שולחן אוכל מעולים. הדירה מוארת מאוד בכל חדר חלון ומרפסת קטנה .

  Die Wohnung ist groß, gemütlich, stylisch eingerichtet und bestens ausgestattet. Der Gastgeber war immer erreichbar und sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage mitten im Ghetto ist spannend und immer lebhaft.
  
  What could be improved: Abends ist es manchmal etwas hellhörig, da die engen Gassen den Schall hoch werfen und verstärken. Das Internet funktionierte leider nicht weil der Router defekt war aber der Gastgeber hat sich umgehend gekümmert.
