  We arrived by rail so its proximity to Venezia San Lucia was a huge plus. The apartment was spacious and spotless with a view of the Grand Canal.
  
  What could be improved: The building this third floor apartment was in has an elevator but it was not working. From the looks of the out of service sign, it has not worked for quite some time.

  The apartment was in a good location with restaurants nearby and an easy walk to the main areas. The view of the canal was good too. The apartment had good facilities.
  
  What could be improved: We booked last minute and the owner apparently didn't get the notification so we arrived and I sent him a message and he said the apartment wasn't ready and asked if we could go to another apartment for the night, which I declined so then he got a cleaner but we had to wait for 2-3 hours with our luggage. When we did get in, the lift was broken so we had to carry the luggage up 4 flights of stairs. The floors were not clean when we got in there. The bed was also uncomfortable Quite disappointed.

  What could be improved: Real problems with air conditioning meant we got very little sleep. Owner apparently fixed this after we left but no offer of compensation for our substantial disruption.

  The apartment was fantastic. Located close to the Santa Lucia train station (just 7 minutes walk). It had a great view to the canal. Big apartment with all appliances.

  Loved the location, easy to walk to sights, water taxis, buses, and trains. Great restaurants nearby. The apartment was adorable. Loved the red and white theme and the wood beams adorning the ceiling. Incredible views of the canal and boats going by out every window.
  
  What could be improved: We didn't have cell service to contact the owner to let us in when we arrived. It took us a bit to figure out the correct doorbell to ring was Longo.
