Hotel Description
I remember stumbling upon Palazzetto MyVenice after a Vaporetto ride from the train station – you know, the No. 1 line that chugs along the Grand Canal, dropping you off at Ca’ Rezzonico, just a short wander away. It’s tucked into Calle del Traghetto in Dorsoduro, this quiet, artsy neighborhood that’s honestly a breath of fresh air compared to the tourist crush over in San Marco. I mean, you’re steps from that little traghetto crossing – those gondola ferries locals use to hop the canal without paying an arm and a leg – and it feels like you’ve slipped into real Venice, away from the selfie sticks and overpriced gelato. The building itself is this charming old palazzo, all faded brick and wrought-iron balconies, with that musty, canal-side scent that hits you as soon as you push open the heavy wooden door. Check-in was a breeze; the owner – this warm Venetian guy named Marco, I think – greeted me with a espresso and a quick chat about the best nearby bacari for cicchetti. No big lobby fuss, just a cozy reception that doubles as a living room, complete with antique maps on the walls and a faint echo of classical music drifting in from somewhere.
What really won me over, though, was the room – I had one overlooking a narrow rio, and waking up to the soft lap of water against the stones below was pure magic. It’s not huge, mind you, but the high ceilings and those original terrazzo floors give it this airy, historic vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying in a friend’s elegant apartment rather than a hotel. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, with crisp linens that smelled faintly of lavender, and the bathroom had one of those rain showers that actually works without sputtering – a small miracle in these old buildings. Breakfast is served in a sunny courtyard (weather permitting, of course – Venice can be drizzly in spring), with fresh cornetti, local cheeses, and coffee that’s strong enough to power you through a day of wandering. Honestly, the staff are gems; they tipped me off to avoiding the crowds at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection by going early, just a five-minute stroll down Fondamenta Zattere. One minor gripe? No elevator, so if you’re lugging heavy bags up those steep stairs, pack light or ask for help – they were quick to assist. And noise-wise, it’s blissfully quiet at night, except for the occasional church bell or passing boat, which sort of adds to the charm.
All in all, if you’re after that authentic Venice experience without the chaos – think lazy afternoons in Campo Santa Margherita sipping spritz with locals, or popping into hidden galleries along Rio San Trovaso – this place is a keeper. It’s got that 4-star polish with a personal touch that makes you feel like an insider, and with a rating like 9.7, well, it’s not just hype. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially off-season when Dorsoduro feels even more like your own secret corner of the city. Trust me, skip the big chains and settle in here; you’ll thank yourself when you’re sipping wine on your balcony, watching the world float by.

Plazetto MyVenice exceeded our expectations. This boutique hotel is awesome, very good location, not far from the main attractions (15-20 minutes walk) and far from the noise, very quiet. The vaporetto is 2 minutes away and close by, shops and restaurants.
We spent 4 nights at the hotel, and we loved every moment of our stay.
Everything was perfect. The room was very confortable and very spacious, new, super clean (not only the room, but the whole place also) with all the facilities needed in the room.
The breakfast was exceptional, served in a very beautiful room and very fresh and tasty food. A real feast and the service was impeccable.
But above all, all the staff (Reception desk, restaurant, personnel,) were so nice, friendly and very helpful to any of our requests. I take this opportunity to thank all of them for making our stay so enjoyable. You feel so very welcomed.
If we were to return to Venice, this hotel will be our first choice.

Amazing rooms and facilities. Loved the breakfast, very high quality food. The staff were simply amazing, polite and willing to help. Big shoutout to Corina for helping us out with a query regarding transportation, she went above and beyond and was very kind and helpful.

Where to start…. This place is stunning, really well located, within 2 mins walk of the boat, and so so clean!!! The food is EXCEPTIONAL, we had the best food of our stay at the hotel (much better than other restaurants we tried during our stay, incl. some Michelin recommended place). I definitely recommend getting breakfast & dinner at the hotel. The staff goes above and beyond, it is so nice to stay in a place where people have so much passion and care for their job. Kudos to them! A real gem! The service & the quality of a 5 star hotel.
What could be improved: There could be more hanging space in the room for towels.Mario from Argentina – 4 February 2025 (10/10)
All staff members super polite and very welcoming. Great experience

Perfect! Excellent location, very comfortable rooms with a very Venetian design and atmosphere.
Very intimate small hotel but perfect for a few days in town.
Breakfast is delicious, staff are very professional and courteous.
The place is clean and well maintained, really nothing to say! The price is also fair.
What could be improved: Just the light switches in the room are very confusing.. but very small detail!
Also the bathroom is in the bedroom which is fine for a solo traveler or very intimate couple.Sergey from Russia – 3 December 2024 (10/10)
A magical Venetian adventure! We spent three unforgettable nights in this wonderful hotel, located one kilometer from St. Mark's Square. And you know what? This turned out to be a real advantage!
The hotel's location is a true gem. Close enough to the main attractions (just a 15-20 minute leisurely walk to the heart of Venice), yet away from the tourist hustle and bustle. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, immersing ourselves in the atmosphere of authentic, unhurried Venice.
The hotel staff was simply magnificent! Every request of ours was fulfilled quickly and with genuine care. They helped us feel like special guests.
And the breakfasts… They were absolutely stunning! Every morning, a real feast for the taste buds awaited us. The freshest croissants and aromatic coffee – everything was prepared with love and served impeccably.
Our room was cozy and elegant, with a view of a quiet Venetian canal. Falling asleep to the gentle lapping of water and waking up in a peaceful environment – priceless!
This is the perfect place for those who want to immerse themselves in the true atmosphere of Venice, while still being able to easily reach the main attractions. We fell in love with this hotel and will definitely return again!Ceri from United Kingdom – 26 November 2024 (10/10)
This little hotel is just fabulous!!!
The rooms are amazing, the attention to detail is unquestionable, all the little touches.
The staff are just lovely – really couldn't fault a thing!
Breakfast is a delight and we ate in the restaurant one evening and the food is high end and delisious.

The allure of Venice, becomes complete with a stay at MyVenice. Everyone who passes through the door has the privilege to meet, and befriend the supreme staff. Each team member uniquely brings a personality, and harmony to the hotel.
The talented young chef surprised us with his creative dishes to the point that we dined there twice for dinner. Vasili cooks from the heart….and the waitstaff, and manager were a true delight which made our evenings more of an experience than any other restaurant in Venice.
The attention to detail throughout the hotel, and the room settings are visually stunning. There is a modern Venetian grace, and elegance that exudes from every space. A place to linger, and absorb the impeccable ambiance.
We would return to MyVenice in a heartbeat….

Delicate hotel, great interior design, love the structure of my room, and all the glasses they use is so beautiful. The restaurant deserves a star, the best tomato pasta I’ve ever had, and the croissant plate they made spontaneously is sublime. We like the staffs very much, they have passion on their job, and take care everyone stay with them hospitably.
What could be improved: Small things for improvement: 1) the switch panels for the room lights are a bit difficult to match, need to test and remember which button is for which light. would be good to have an icon on it to indicate. 2) bed is a bit too soft.Sue from United States – 17 October 2024 (10/10)
Every person on staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The place is lovely and convenient.
What could be improved: Not much room for improvement, but maybe an armchair for reading for a long stay.
