Hotel Description

You know, when I first stumbled upon Palazzo Titti Rialto Suites, tucked away in that little campiello off the bustling San Polo district, I was half-expecting one of those generic Venice stays that look great in photos but feel a bit soulless up close. But honestly, stepping through the door – after weaving through the narrow calle from the Rialto vaporetto stop, dodging the morning fish market crowds at the nearby Erberia – it felt like I’d wandered into someone’s actual historic home. The building’s this old palazzo with weathered stone walls that whisper stories from the Renaissance, and the check-in was refreshingly low-key; no fancy lobby drama, just a friendly host who handed over the keys with a quick chat about the best cicchetti spots around the corner on Calle della Madonna. I mean, it’s only a 3-star place, but with that 8.9 rating, you can tell it’s punching above its weight – probably because it’s so authentically Venetian, without trying too hard.

What really won me over were the suites themselves – spacious, with these high ceilings and creaky wooden beams that make you feel like you’re living in a piece of history, not just crashing for the night. My room overlooked the campiello, and in the evenings, you’d hear the faint echo of church bells from Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, just a short stroll away (pro tip: go early to beat the tour groups). The bedding was plush, almost surprisingly so for the price, and there was this subtle scent of aged wood and fresh linen that cut through the occasional canal whiff drifting in from outside. Well, sort of – Venice being Venice, you do get that briny humidity, especially in summer, but the air con hummed quietly enough to keep things comfortable. No elevator, mind you, which might be a drag if you’re hauling heavy luggage up the stairs (I learned that the hard way after a day of gondola-hopping), but it adds to the charm, I suppose. And the location? It’s genius for explorers; you’re steps from the Rialto Bridge but far enough from the main tourist drag that nights are peaceful – no rowdy bar noise, just the gentle lap of water against the fondamenta. Oh, and breakfast was simple but spot-on: fresh cornetti and coffee served in a cozy communal area, with tips from the staff on avoiding the overpriced traps near Campo San Polo.

All in all, if you’re after a Venice stay that feels real – not some glossy resort vibe – this is it. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially off-season when the fog rolls in and the whole area quiets down, making those morning walks to the market feel like your own private adventure. Sure, it’s not perfect (the Wi-Fi can be spotty in the thicker-walled rooms), but for the value and that insider feel, it’s a gem. Trust me, you’ll leave with stories, not just selfies.

Staff were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Location was ideal for seeing the sights of Venice.

  • Exceptional – Serhii from Croatia – 13 July 2025 (10/10)

We loved our stay here. It is almost in the center of Venice but in a quite and calm street so we could rest properly. Everything was very clean and in nice ancient design, we loved it. The conditioner was on when we arrived and it was very pleasant to arrive in a cool room after hot day trip. We had everything we needed in the room. The bed was very comfortable. We had hot water in the shower. And the terrace was a great addition to our stay in this place. It's easy to find with gps and easy to check in even without a host. The price is very attractive considering the conveniences and location that we got here. We really recommend this place!

  • Fantastic property and location – Jurate from Lithuania – 12 July 2025 (10/10)

The place was so conveniently located. It looked gorgeous and felt so comfortable. The staff online and in person were so helpful and on point. The room and the whole property was immaculately clean and renovated beautifully. One of the best stays that we have had.

    What could be improved: None

  • Beautifully clean, comfortable, welcoming and convenient accommodation for the (at least) moderately active traveller. – David from United Kingdom – 3 July 2025 (10/10)

It was quiet, despite being close to the Rialto Bridge, the Grand Canal, restaurants, bars and shops.

What could be improved: It’s not that I using like but there are stairs that can’t be avoided, the reception is in the third floor and some rooms are above that, so not easily accessible which could be e problem for some people.

  • It’s was great regardless the stairs. Room bigger than pictures, clean and very responsive – Maria from United States – 1 July 2025 (10/10)

    Comfortable and good location

What could be improved: Bedroom on third floor and no elevator. Long steps stairs for carrying luggage

  • Great value for money! – Aigustė from Lithuania – 20 June 2025 (10/10)

Very clean and comfortable stay. The room was spotless, with a great view. Fast and reliable Wi-Fi. The staff was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Highly recommend!

What could be improved: The only downside – surprisingly, there was no hand soap, only shampoo and shower gel.

  • Exceptional – James from Ireland – 19 June 2025 (10/10)

Location was excellent and staff very friendly, couldn't recommend more👍

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Good value for money – Sebastian from United Kingdom – 17 June 2025 (8/10)

Staff were helpful and nice big room in central location!

What could be improved: No soap- we were advised to use shower gel?
3 flights of stairs to room so pack light!

  • Wedding Anniversary at Palazzo Titti Rialto Suites – Beverley from United Kingdom – 16 June 2025 (10/10)

The Palazzo Titti Rialto gives you the opportunity to be right in the heart of the Rialto District of Venice.Your room or historic suite ( As we stayed in ) is surrounded by life and church bells A few steps you are in the historic market , a few more you are catching a water bus on the Grand canal. There are cheap eats available at Farina, the wine man gave us a bottle of wine for €10 We have paid £40 in a restaurant in the UK – for the same bottle .I wish we could have stayed longer .The Palazzo felt safe and quiet , which is needed after all the walking among the most beautiful city on earth 🌎 😍

What could be improved: The only downside is obviously there isn't a lift so carrying your bags is up 4 flights of stairs, I noticed all guests young and old struggle. That was all. Everything you need is your room including AC and a fridge and slippers, enjoy your stay 😊 😀
