Hotel Description
I remember stepping off the vaporetto at the Rialto stop – you know, the one that’s always packed with tourists juggling suitcases and gelato cones – and weaving through the crowds toward San Polo. It’s not far, honestly, just a quick stroll across the bridge and down Rio Terà San Silvestro, which is this quirky little street that used to be a canal but got filled in ages ago, making it feel like a secret passageway amid all the Venetian chaos. The Rialto Deluxe Grand Canal View R&R popped up right there at number 1094, tucked into one of those classic old buildings with weathered stone facades that whisper stories from the Renaissance. I mean, Venice is all about that timeless vibe, but this place? It hit me right away with its unpretentious charm – no flashy lobby, just a warm welcome from the front desk guy who chatted about the best time to hit the nearby fish market (early morning, before the tour groups descend). Check-in was a breeze, even though we arrived during that afternoon rush when the bells from San Silvestro church start tolling like they’re announcing happy hour.
What really sold me was the room – we splurged on one with the Grand Canal view, and oh man, waking up to gondolas gliding by and the soft lapping of water against the pilings was straight out of a dream. The decor’s got that elegant four-star polish without being stuffy: think plush bedding that feels like sinking into a cloud after a day of pounding pavements, and those high ceilings that echo faintly with the hum of water taxis outside. Breakfast on the terrace (weather permitting, of course – Venice can be fickle in spring) was a highlight, with fresh cornetti and cappuccino strong enough to power you through a wander to Campo San Polo, just a stone’s throw away for some people-watching or a quick spritz at a local bacaro. It’s not perfect, though – the building’s historic, so expect some stairs if you’re on a higher floor (no elevator, which caught me off guard with my overpacked bag), and during peak summer, the canal smells can waft in if the windows are open too long. But honestly, that’s Venice for you; it adds to the authenticity. We popped out easily to explore – like ducking into the Rialto markets for some cicchetti or hopping a boat to Murano – and retreating back felt like our own little sanctuary amid the buzz.
All in all, if you’re after that real-deal Venice experience without the San Marco overload, this spot’s a gem. It’s got a solid 9.1 rating for a reason – the staff’s genuinely helpful, sharing tips on avoiding the tourist traps (head to Dorsoduro for quieter evenings, they said), and the location in San Polo keeps things lively but not overwhelming. Well, except maybe during Carnival when the whole area’s a masquerade party – book ahead if that’s your scene. I’d go back in a heartbeat for a romantic escape or even a solo recharge; it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve uncovered a piece of the city’s soul, you know? Just pack light and embrace the walk – no cars here, after all.

The layout was perfect for our group of two couples. It was really nice having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was very clean and comfortable. We also appreciated having a washer and a coffee machine in the apartment.

Amazing location so close to Rialto bridge.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.

The apartment is in a great location. The building is newly renovated and is very clean. You can see a view of the water but yet you're away from the noise.
What could be improved: 10AM check out is too early. The facility does not allow you to store your luggage there and didn't provide any detailed info on where you can leave your luggage.Terry from United States – 2 August 2023 (9/10)
The location of the property was great. The place to get the key was close by. Parking was not free, and was a short walk to the property. You had to roll your bags a few blocks to get to the property. The manager provided a bottle of wine and a large bottle of water, which was nice. We also asked for additional fans, which were provided right away.
What could be improved: We picked up the keys and went to the property and found it not ready. I called the property manager and he send someone over right away. We left our bags and returned after dinner and the property was clean. We were happy with the response, apparently their was a miss communication within the company. But the problem was corrected quickly. It is in a main square, so you are close to everything, but it is very noisy, so if you are a lite sleeper, it could be a problem.Andrea from Slovakia – 23 February 2023 (10/10)
Everything was excellent, super clean, host nice. The kitchen fully equipped for cooking, serving dishes, drinks… The view of Canal Grande from all the windows.

Great location – in view of Grand Canal, 3 minutes from Rialto Bridge, yet on a quiet side street. Apartment was extremely clean and well furnished, very roomy.

The location of the apartment was incredible! We could see the grand canal from our room. We were greeted by Flavia, she was lovely, so helpful and recommended some great places. Would 110% recommend this apartment, wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Venice
