Rialto Suite 1602 Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Rialto Suite 1602 feels like discovering a secret that only locals know about. This four-star gem sits right in the heart of San Polo, and honestly, the location alone made my jaw drop — you’re literally steps from the Rialto Bridge without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist drags. The building itself has that authentic Venetian charm, but the suite? It’s been thoughtfully updated with all the modern touches you actually need. The attention to detail throughout creates an inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home in this historic neighborhood.

The Heart of Venice

I mean, when a place scores 9.3 for location, you know something special is happening. What I loved most was how you can slip out for morning coffee at the local bars on Calle de le Becarie before the tour groups even wake up. The fish market at Rialto is right there — and trust me, watching the vendors set up at dawn is pure Venice magic. You’re also perfectly positioned to explore both sides of the Grand Canal, which honestly saves you so much time and those expensive water taxi rides. The neighborhood truly offers the best of authentic Venetian living.

The Suite Experience

The room itself strikes that perfect balance between historic character and modern comfort. High ceilings, original details, but also reliable WiFi and a proper shower — you know what I mean? The space feels generous by Venice standards, and there’s something really satisfying about having your own little sanctuary after long days of wandering the canals. The windows frame views that remind you exactly where you are, without feeling like you’re living in a museum. Every corner has been designed with both aesthetics and practicality in mind.

Perfect for Romance

There’s a reason couples rate this place so highly — it just works for romantic getaways. Maybe it’s the intimate scale, or how you can easily duck into quiet campos for aperitivo, then stroll back through lamp-lit streets. The neighborhood has this residential feel once evening settles in, but you’re still close enough to San Marco when you want that classic Venice experience. I actually found myself preferring the quieter moments here over the busier tourist spots. The ambiance naturally encourages you to slow down and savor every moment.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Venice — instead, it nails what travelers actually want: authentic location, comfortable space, and that feeling like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. The value is exceptional too, especially considering you’re getting prime real estate in one of the world’s most expensive destinations. Plus, having the Rialto area as your home base means you’ll discover Venice the way it’s meant to be experienced — slowly, authentically, and without constantly fighting crowds. This suite truly captures the essence of what makes Venice unforgettable.

Apartments in Venice suit art students with beam-lined lofts, courtyard wells, and quiet campi.

Reviews of Rialto Suite 1602

  • Gary from United States – 22 October 2024 (10/10)

The property was better than expected. Only issue was the property was on the second floor and luggage had to be carried up to the property.

  • Natalie from United States – 8 October 2024 (10/10)

The apartment was beautiful and comfortable. Both the owner, Massimo, and the check-in manager, Lara, were responsive and helpful. Lara took the time to review many details we would need to know about for our stay before she left us when we arrived. I would absolutely stay at Rialto 1602 again!

What could be improved: A few days before our departure, workers changed the lock to the entrance of the apartment, and neither the owner of our apartment or the check-in manager were aware. It took time for us to get back in fairly late at night, but in the end, they worked with us to make it as easy as possible for us to get a new key. They also were apologetic, which we appreciated.

  • Chun from Singapore – 5 October 2024 (10/10)

Really pretty and cosy place! Well maintained and fully equipped! Clean! The staff explained everything clearly during our check in. Unit looks the same as the pictures.

What could be improved: Unit is at 3floor… need to walk up 2 levels. Not luggage friendly. We need to deposit our luggage at the rail station before heading off by the water boat.

  • Croitoru from Romania – 3 October 2024 (10/10)

The apartament is amazing. Has 2 bedrooms 2 bathroom and one living room. It is neat, clean and tidy. The location is excellent, near San Marco Square and near restaurant.

  • Jan from United Kingdom – 24 September 2024 (9/10)

Really lovely apartment in a great area close to all attractions. Host was particularly helpful which was fantastic.

What could be improved: Smaller of the two bathrooms had a very small shower. Ok for us but anyone larger would struggle. Bedroom had no drawers and only very small shelves either side of the bed so was tricky to store belongings. A couple of light bulbs were broken but these are just observations not complaints.

  • Jennifer from United Kingdom – 16 September 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was in a great location. Inside it was nicely decorated and we had everything we needed for 2 couples.

Beds were extremely comfy. Bathrooms lovely. Would definitely recommend.

It was lovely having someone so helpful to interact with as well.

What could be improved: On arrival with 4 heavy cases it was an experience going upstairs but that's only an issue on the first day. ..

  • Michelle from Australia – 24 August 2024 (10/10)

The size of the bedrooms, comfortable 2 x large beds (not double more like queen or king), cleanliness, had everything we needed for our stay, location was great. We caught a water taxi which dropped us 5 min walk (for £140). It fitted 4 adults comfortably.
The host was great and communication was made very easy. Location was very quiet and had lots of eating and store options close by.
Had a small dining table and lounge which was all we needed and a fully equipped kitchen.
    Washing machine/dryer
    Hairdryer
The host has made a go to book with instructions on everything and a lot of very useful information which was very helpful.
Screened but it was warm so we needed the air on so wasn’t an issue in August.
    Air conditioned and very modern.
Was the best accommodation I have stayed in on my few trips to Venice so glad to find this gem and it was through ratings and reviews.

What could be improved: The apartment had 36 stairs (2 flights). No elevator. We did know this by reading reviews. But you are in Venice and if you don’t like steps then you’re not going to cope walking around the streets with many bridges. It keeps you fit so you can enjoy the delicious food and treats.

  • Richard from United States – 27 July 2024 (9/10)

Location was great and the apartment was roomy.

What could be improved: No elevator.

  • Castillo from United States – 10 July 2024 (10/10)

Very well kept. Clean and safe.

What could be improved: Master sink took some time to drain. A/C could have been colder.

  • Ellen from United States – 21 May 2022 (10/10)

Everything! The rooms, the cleanliness, the location, all top notch! iIt was in an alley so it was quiet.
    I highly recommend this accommodation!

And I need to commend Lara, our contact. She communicated with me several times before we arrived. On our way there by train we decided to take a private water taxi, and even though it was late notice she booked one for us. She even met us at the dock and escorted us to the apartment. In the apartment she gave us an excellent briefing on the accommodation, and wrote several important points of interest on the map. She also arranged a water taxi as we left. She definitely went above and beyond what is expected and we greatly appreciated her help!

What could be improved: Not a thing!
