You’re close enough to San Marco to walk there in minutes, but far enough that you’re not drowning in tour groups the moment you step outside. Couples especially seem to fall for this spot — and honestly, it makes sense, because there’s something quietly romantic about being in a part of Venice that doesn’t feel like a theme park.

The rooms are straightforward and clean — I mean, this is a three-star, so you calibrate your expectations accordingly. What you get is a comfortable base, decent beds, and that slightly old-world Venetian feel that comes naturally when a building has been around for centuries. Nothing flashy, but nothing to complain about either. If you’re the type who spends most of your time out exploring and just needs somewhere solid to come back to, it works well.

Getting Around

One thing worth knowing is that Venice is Venice — there are no taxis pulling up outside, no car parks, no Ubers. But from this address, you’re genuinely well-placed. The vaporetto stops along the waterfront are within easy walking distance, which matters more than people realize when you’re hauling luggage or coming back late after dinner. The Rialto, the Accademia, even the Arsenale — all reachable on foot without it feeling like a trek. That location score of 9.3 isn’t just a number; you actually feel it day to day.

  It is in a great location, an easy walk to very touristy parts of Venice.
  
  What could be improved: We did not find it clear on the booking that this apartment did not have AC. The apartment even looked like it had AC controls in it, but did not. Being there in mid August, we decided this was a dealbreaker for us and we could not stay in this apartment with the heat and humidity as it was. There is a wonderful hotel right around the corner (Hotel Casa Verardo) that we ended up booking a stay at for the same price as this apartment, and we would highly recommend this.
