SAN MARCO3 Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow Venetian streets to find SAN MARCO3 Apartment feels like you’re following a treasure map — and honestly, that’s exactly what you’re doing. This four-star apartment sits right on Calle de le Ballotte in the San Marco district, which means you’re literally in the beating heart of Venice. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.9 out of 10, you know you’ve stumbled onto something special. The building itself has that weathered Venetian charm you see in postcards, but what really hits you is the realization that St. Mark’s Square is just a few minutes’ walk away.
The Heart of Venice
You know what’s amazing about staying here? You’re not just visiting Venice — you’re actually living in it for a few days. The Sestiere San Marco location means you can roll out of bed and be at the Doge’s Palace before the tour groups arrive, or grab an early morning espresso at one of those tiny cafés that locals actually frequent. The Rialto Bridge is close enough for an evening stroll, and honestly, getting lost in these ancient streets becomes part of the daily routine. What I love is that despite being so central, the apartment feels tucked away from the main tourist chaos — you get the best of both worlds.
The Space Itself
The apartment setup works really well, especially if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two. There’s something satisfying about having your own space in a city where most visitors are crammed into tiny hotel rooms. The kitchen comes in handy when you want to prepare a simple breakfast or store those amazing pastries from the local bakeries — trust me, you’ll want to stock up. The decor strikes that perfect balance between Venetian character and modern comfort, though don’t expect cutting-edge amenities here. It’s more about authentic charm and that unbeatable location.
Daily Life in San Marco
Staying here changes how you experience Venice completely. Instead of rushing between tourist sites, you start noticing the small details — like how the light hits the canal water differently throughout the day, or which bridges offer the best views for photos. The morning routine becomes grabbing fresh bread from the corner bakery and planning which museum to visit before lunch. Evenings are perfect for aperitivo at nearby bars where you’ll hear more Italian than English. The apartment gives you that insider feeling, like you belong in this incredible floating city rather than just passing through.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s all about location, location, location, but in the most authentic way possible. Couples especially seem to get it, probably because there’s something incredibly romantic about having your own little Venetian hideaway steps from some of the world’s most beautiful architecture. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the cruise ship crowds to actually breathe. Plus, when you tell people you stayed in an apartment in San Marco, it just sounds cooler than another generic hotel, doesn’t it?
Locals suggest to book apartments in Venice around Cannaregio for artisan glass studios and uncrowded canals.

Reviews of SAN MARCO3 Apartment
Colin from United Kingdom – 22 March 2025 (10/10)
The location is perfect for sightseeing. Very central and a short walk from all the main attractions, but still remarkably quiet at night. Communication with Camilla during our stay was excellent. She was very helpful.
Cyril from France – 19 March 2025 (10/10)
The owner is very friendly, kind and helpful. She has made our early check-in possible by having the cleaner finished before our arrival. What we appreciate most is that there a lift to the apartment and it’s very rare in Venise. Balcony is very appreciated too as we can use when the weather is bright and sunny. Generally, we had a wonderful stay in Venise.
Pamela from United Kingdom – 28 February 2025 (9/10)
Location was brilliant – only criticism was we were there for three days and there were coffee pods only for 2. Also no milk provided.

Tons of space and location was ideal. Extremely Italian living in the heart of Venice.
What could be improved: We liked everything.Cathaleeya from United States – 4 January 2025 (8/10)
We really like the location of this apartment, because it was so close to the Rialto bridge. We also felt lucky that there was an elevator, because we understand that many locations do not have an elevator. The owner was very nice with communicating and explaining all the features in the apartment.
What could be improved: My big criticism of our stay was that the Internet (Wi-Fi) was really bad, and almost unusable. They were actually two different Wi-Fi networks available to us, and both of them were pretty bad. Wi-Fi is really important in Venice because the reception outside apartments is not good, which makes being able to come back to an apartment and use fast Wi-Fi pretty important. I don’t mind mentioning this, because this is the sort of thing that can be remedied by the owner.
The shower was a bit small and only had a handheld showerhead. This may not be the biggest criticism, as this may be similar to many units throughout Venice.Mary from Australia – 1 January 2025 (10/10)
The apartment was clean and very comfortable, the location was great. Betty and Camille were fantastic with communication and provided clear instructions on how to get to the property
Julia from Indonesia – 1 January 2025 (10/10)
Everything about the apartment is excellent, me and my family were so happy with the apartment cleanliness, decor, and comfort, and there is a lift perfect for us since we have a toddler. Everything is excellent, and there is nothing that makes us unhappy. Location is perfect, the bathroom is amazing,
i love the toilet since everything is well thought when Betty and Camilla make this apartment, the shower handle next to the toilet is amazing since it's more hygiene.
The bed is so comfortable, the kitchen is amazing, the pillow is soft..
I would definitely come back to this apartment again when im spending the nights in Venice..
Grazie mille Betty e Camilla.. buon anno
What could be improved: Nothing.. all perfectAhmad from South Africa – 26 November 2024 (9/10)
I liked how clean, warm, quiet and spacious the apartment was, the owners are very thoughtful and helpful, and easy to talk to. They actually go the extra mile
What could be improved: The small elevator and the low water pressureJoanne from Australia – 20 November 2024 (10/10)

The homeowner is a rare example of what customer service should look like. Very helpful and committed.
Flat stylishly decorated and equipped with comfortable beds and sofas, furnished with everything a home should have. Apartment was very clean and tidy. The flat is located right in the epicentre of the city.
