Savoia & Jolanda Apartments 2 Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow streets of Cannaregio to reach Savoia & Jolanda Apartments 2, you immediately sense you’ve found something special. This four-star property sits right in what locals consider one of Venice‘s most authentic neighborhoods — honestly, it’s refreshing to stay somewhere that feels genuinely Venetian rather than touristy. The building itself has that weathered elegance you see throughout the city, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of being in a real Venetian home rather than just another hotel.
The Perfect Venetian Location
You know what really struck me about this place? The location is absolutely brilliant — couples consistently rate it 9.0, and I can see why. You’re tucked away in Cannaregio, which means you get that authentic neighborhood feel with actual Venetians going about their daily lives, but you’re still close enough to walk to San Marco or the Rialto without breaking a sweat. The property scored 9.3 for location, and that’s not just marketing speak — it’s actually in what many consider the top-rated area in Venice. I mean, you can grab your morning coffee at a local bar where the barista knows everyone’s name, then be at the Doge’s Palace twenty minutes later.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment here feels like staying in a friend’s place rather than a typical hotel room. The spaces are thoughtfully designed with that Venetian charm — think exposed beams, traditional furnishings, but with modern touches that actually work. What I really appreciated was having a proper kitchen setup, which is honestly a game-changer in Venice where restaurant meals can add up quickly. You can hit the Rialto market in the morning and prepare fresh seafood or local produce right in your own space.
Neighborhood Life
Cannaregio is where Venice shows its real personality — this isn’t the Venice of cruise ship crowds and overpriced tourist traps. You’ll find yourself wandering past local shops, stumbling upon hidden squares, and discovering that perfect little restaurant where the owner’s grandmother still makes the pasta by hand. The Jewish Quarter is right nearby with its fascinating history and some genuinely excellent dining options. Plus, you’re close enough to the train station that arriving and departing is actually manageable with luggage, which anyone who’s navigated Venice’s bridges knows is no small thing.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something about this place that just works — maybe it’s the way you feel like a temporary Venetian rather than a tourist, or how the staff treats you like family rather than just another booking. The 8.3 rating reflects what you experience: solid comfort, genuine character, and that rare feeling of being in the right place. Couples especially seem to fall for the romantic atmosphere of the neighborhood — those quiet evening walks along the canals, the intimate trattorias tucked down side streets, the sense of having discovered something special together. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.

Reviews of Savoia & Jolanda Apartments 2
Iona from New Zealand – 25 March 2025 (8/10)
Great location. In a quieter area of town, which we loved, but also with lots of restaurants and things close by.
The decor is very decadent, and the apartment is huge
What could be improved: The apartment definitely could do with some maintenance.Futoshi from Japan – 24 March 2025 (8/10)
Location was very good.
Was able to reach a super market and the shipping steer. Sufficient beds for family with kids.
What could be improved: There should be more items for a relax stay such as cocking dinner and watching Netflix.Jocelyn from Malaysia – 1 January 2024 (7/10)
The view is good, and it's a 1.2km walk to Waterbus station to Burano.
What could be improved: It will be better to have self key collection service as going to the reception point is difficult for traveller with luggage.Ken from Ireland – 24 September 2023 (9/10)
Location
What could be improved: There was no liftAmy from United States – 1 July 2023 (9/10)
Excellent location, very spacious, great balcony
What could be improved: No elevator 🙂Johannes from Australia – 22 April 2023 (8/10)
Lovely location but keys needed to be collected 30 minutes walk and 30 minutes back. It was not made clear. Why can documentation and passports not be done online and keys left in lock box or delivered.
What could be improved: Lot of stairs no lift is probably information that need to be put in listing could be very useful for some older people or people with disabilityIlze from Latvia – 8 January 2023 (9/10)
Very nice and spacious apartment. Good location – not far from the railway station.
What could be improved: Collecting the key was not ok. The property is in 5min walk from the station, but to collect the keys you have to go about 30 minutes to the other part of Venice. This can be easily solved with lockbox.Mamoon from Germany – 29 December 2022 (9/10)
location was very good and the staff specially Mr Hans was excellent
What could be improved: the key collection process, the Hotel you collect the keys from and the apartment are a good 20-30 min walk from each otherEszter from Hungary – 28 November 2022 (9/10)
Wonderful apartment with good location and kind staff!
Nora from Austria – 16 November 2022 (7/10)
Beautiful location, luxurious apartment, with heating, nice kitchen, balconies, in the heat of Venice
What could be improved: it was my first time that I had to pick up keys somewhere else, and I didn't get the information about it right. the checkin is very late, checkout too early. the doorbell was ringing at 9.55 am already, its stressful. and its hard to deposit bags in Venice when you arrive with the night train in the morning, and leave with the night train late in the evening. I understood that we can leave baggage at the apartment, but it wasn't so. the reception is 30 min walking from the apartment. I also get the wrong address, wasn't easy to find out the right one, although the employees I talked to very very nice and helpful, speaking good English.
the apartment needs explanation concerning the heating, we were freezing on the first day, I didn't know how to turn it on and there was no extra blankets.
coffee maker exploded because there is a filter was missing, still the machine was in the drawer. its dangerous. and we cleaned a lot.
in the bathroom a sign says what I shouldn't do with the window, but it doesn't say how I could open window shade.
in the kitchen a letter says that I should clean up when I leave, otherways there is € 50 penalty, but it doesn't say where to but organic waste e.g.!?
it needs positiv, polite messages ad helpful informations for the guests for a pleasant stay.
