Suite735 Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Suite735 in the Dorsoduro district, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical Venetian hotel. The building sits quietly on a residential street, away from the tourist chaos but still incredibly close to everything that matters. I mean, you’re literally in what locals consider the most authentic part of Venice — the area where actual Venetians still live and work. The entrance is understated in that effortlessly elegant Italian way, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience the real city.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in Dorsoduro — you get the best of both worlds. This four-star property puts you walking distance from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the stunning Santa Maria della Salute, but you’re also surrounded by neighborhood bars where you can grab a proper spritz with locals. The couples who stay here absolutely get it (they rate the location 9.6, which honestly makes perfect sense). You know what’s really nice? You can actually hear yourself think here, unlike staying near San Marco where it’s tourist madness 24/7.
The Room Experience
The room itself feels more like a carefully curated Venetian apartment than a hotel space. The design strikes this perfect balance between contemporary comfort and respecting the building’s historic character — you’ll find modern amenities without losing that authentic Venetian atmosphere. What really impressed me was the attention to detail in the furnishings and how everything feels intentionally chosen rather than just hotel-standard. The space actually gives you room to spread out and settle in, which is surprisingly rare in Venice where most accommodations feel cramped.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast situation here is actually quite impressive — they’ve got everything from continental options to full English if you’re craving something hearty. What caught my attention was how they handle dietary restrictions; vegetarian, gluten-free, even kosher options are available, which shows they’re thinking about their guests as individuals rather than just processing people through. The buffet setup works well, and you can fuel up properly before heading out to explore. I particularly appreciated having American-style options mixed in with the European selections — sometimes you just want familiar comfort food, you know?
Why Guests Love It
The location score of 9.7 tells the whole story, but let me break it down for you. You’re positioned perfectly to explore both the artistic side of Venice and the everyday neighborhood life that most tourists never experience. The property manages to feel intimate and personal while still delivering all the services you’d expect from a quality hotel. What really sets Suite735 apart is how it lets you live like a temporary Venetian rather than just passing through as another tourist. The combination of authentic neighborhood vibes, thoughtful amenities, and that prime Dorsoduro location creates exactly the kind of Venice experience that keeps people coming back.

It's a stylish place. Clean, quiet and near some nice bars and restaurants and the Peggy Guggenheim collection. You step outside every morning (after an excellent breakfast) onto a lovely canal view. I loved it!

The location was perfect; easy to walk to everything but not in the super busy areas therefore not overcrowded. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was divine with plenty of options for a smaller hotel. Lastly the staff were among the most friendly and accommodating that we have ever experienced; they were very helpful before we arrived and nothing was too much of an ask. They really made the stay extra special.
What could be improved: The only improvement would be to ensure the air con works later in the year; we visited at the end of October and the weather was still very warm therefore we were quite hot at night as the air con had been turned off.Jane from United Kingdom – 10 October 2024 (10/10)
The room was lovely, the breakfasts were great. The staff were all exceptional. The location was fantastic. Highly recommend.

What could be improved: Nothing, it was all wonderful!Graeme from Australia – 2 October 2024 (9/10)
Suite 735 is a smaller boutique hotel that is in a great location. Suite 735 had a great breakfast served by wonderful staff and catered very well for my gluten free partner. The cooking and cleaning staff were happy and accommodating to our needs. The reception team were exceptional in providing tour advice and general information. We enjoyed our chats with them and Carlotta was wonderful in communicating with us prior, and during, our stay. We would love to stay here again one day.
What could be improved: Our room door was close to the small reception area but it did not deter from the ambience of the place. Occasionally we could hear the staff early in the morning. This was not a hindrance to us at all though.Nicole from Australia – 26 September 2024 (10/10)
Suite 735 was in an excellent position, close to everything but away from all the crowds. The water taxi can drop you off or pick you up from the canal outside the door. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety prepared and served by a lovely staff member. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful as well. We really enjoyed our stay.
