Ve.N.I.Ce. Cera Ca’ De La Mandola Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow streets of San Marco to find Ve.N.I.Ce. Cera Ca’ De La Mandola feels like following a treasure map — and honestly, that’s exactly what you’re doing. This four-star boutique hotel sits tucked away on a quiet street, but don’t let the understated entrance fool you. Once you step inside, you’ll immediately understand why this place scores so highly with guests who know Venice well. The hotel’s discreet charm and attention to detail set the tone for an unforgettable stay in one of Italy’s most magical cities.
Location That Actually Matters
You know what’s rare in Venice? Finding a hotel that’s genuinely in the heart of everything without being on a tourist-packed main drag. This place nails that balance perfectly — you’re literally steps from St. Mark’s Square, but your room stays blissfully quiet at night. I mean, when locals tell you a location scores 9.5 out of 10, you listen. The Rialto Bridge is a pleasant five-minute walk, and you can reach the Doge’s Palace before most tour groups even finish their morning coffee. This strategic positioning makes it an ideal base for exploring the city’s hidden corners and iconic landmarks alike.
The Space Itself
The building has that authentic Venetian charm — we’re talking original beams, period details, and windows that frame canal views like living paintings. What impressed me most was how they’ve managed to blend historical character with modern comfort. The rooms aren’t huge (this is Venice, after all), but they’re thoughtfully designed with quality linens and surprisingly good air conditioning. Each space feels carefully curated rather than cookie-cutter corporate, which makes all the difference when you’re staying somewhere this special. The attention to detail extends to every corner, creating an atmosphere of refined elegance.
The Venice Experience
Here’s something you don’t always get at Venice hotels — the staff actually knows the city beyond the obvious tourist spots. They’ll point you toward that little bacaro where locals grab cicchetti, or suggest the best time to visit the Basilica without fighting crowds. The hotel’s position means you can easily duck back for an afternoon rest (trust me, you’ll want to), then head out for aperitivo when the light gets golden. It’s this kind of flexibility that makes Venice feel less overwhelming and more magical. The team’s genuine passion for the city shines through in every recommendation they offer.
Why Guests Love It
Couples consistently rave about this place, and after staying here, I get it completely. There’s something romantic about having your own quiet corner in one of the world’s most enchanting cities. The combination of prime location, intimate atmosphere, and genuine Venetian character creates exactly what you hope for in a Venice getaway. You’re not just visiting Venice — you’re actually living in it for a few days, and that distinction makes all the difference in how you’ll remember your trip. This hotel transforms a typical vacation into a transformative experience that lingers long after you’ve left.
Exploring Venice mixes Gothic arches, artisan mask ateliers, and cicchetti crawls along shadowy rii.

We liked being met by a member of staff; the central location and the apartment itself was everything we needed for our short break.
A good find!

What could be improved: Stairs were very steep for older peopleClare from United Kingdom – 14 June 2024 (9/10)
Loved everything about our property clean bright modern but tucked away in a courtyard . We felt right at home but it felt special because we were about 200metres away from the world famous Rialto Bridge. Also you can get the Allaguna from Rialto back to the airport which was fab.
What could be improved: I couldn’t say anything about the property itself but I was glad I meet Isabella who took me into property or I wouldn’t have found it. I had found the street but the apartment was in behind a shops and restaurants.Nole from United Kingdom – 9 May 2024 (8/10)
Great location

Great location mini mart restaurants shopping all nearby. Nice spacious apartment all the mod cons
What could be improved: The stairs to the apartment are steep. The toilets are very cramped if you have long legs you can not use toilet in one of the bathrooms. Lay out of bathrooms could be better. Staff did not explain how to use the washing machine properly and machine chewed up clothes then when I contacted the host they informed me they had to get a technician out for the washing machine and I would have to pay for cost. They also charge a bond of $150 euro which after 2 weeks is still a pending charge on my account have sent numerous messages to host about this charge and have received no reply. Would be good to have a folder there explaining how to use appliances in different languagesGavin from United Kingdom – 13 July 2023 (9/10)
Location is excellent. Close to San Marco. Supermarket literally next door (hard to find so ask). 5 min walk from Sant Agnello pontoon with direct access to and from Airport on Allilaguna Orange Line €15 each way. Lovely wee gelato shop at front door.
What could be improved: Wi-Fi was slow, and the main bed creaked when you moved. These could be improved easily. Other than that everything was perfect. Steep stairs so wouldn’t suit the less mobile.Maria from United Kingdom – 25 July 2022 (9/10)
excellent apartment in the perfect location – a short walk to St Marks square, Rialto and the Accemadia. plus, wonderful h welcome with lots of great recommendations.
