Ve.N.I.Ce Cera San Moisè Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Ve.N.I.Ce Cera San Moisè, you immediately feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special in Venice. This four-star boutique hotel sits right in the San Marco district — and I mean right in the thick of things. The entrance is understated in that elegant Venetian way, where you know you’re somewhere important without all the flashy signage. Honestly, the location alone makes this place worth considering, especially if you’re the type who wants to be steps away from everything that matters.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s impressive? They’re not kidding when they say this place has an excellent location score of 9.8. I’ve stayed in Venice enough times to know that being in San Marco can sometimes mean tourist chaos, but this spot manages to be central without feeling overwhelming. You’re literally a two-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square, which means you can pop over for sunrise photos before the crowds arrive — trust me on this one. The Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, all those must-see spots are practically on your doorstep, but the hotel itself sits on a quieter side street where you can actually hear yourself think.
The Experience
What struck me most was how they’ve managed to create this intimate atmosphere in such a prime location. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay memorable, and they know Venice inside and out — always a good sign. The building itself has that authentic Venetian charm you’re hoping for, with original details that remind you you’re sleeping in a city that’s been welcoming travelers for centuries. It’s the kind of place where couples feel comfortable (apparently they rate it particularly highly), but honestly, I think anyone would appreciate the attention to detail here.
Practical Considerations
Let’s talk about what really matters when you’re navigating Venice. The hotel’s position means you can easily walk to the main vaporetto stops, which is crucial when you’re hauling luggage through those narrow streets. There’s something to be said for being able to drop your bags and immediately start exploring without needing to figure out water taxi routes or getting lost in the maze of alleys. The room I stayed in was well-appointed — not huge, but that’s Venice for you, and they’ve made smart use of the space. Everything felt thoughtfully designed rather than just crammed in.
Why Guests Love It
I think what keeps people coming back here is that perfect balance between location and experience. You’re staying somewhere that feels authentically Venetian, not like some generic hotel that happens to be in Venice. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you consider that you’re getting genuine hospitality in one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the city. It’s the kind of place where you can step outside and immediately feel like you’re part of the Venice experience, rather than just observing it from the sidelines. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about being able to wander back to your hotel through those atmospheric streets after dinner, knowing you’re staying somewhere that actually adds to the magic rather than detracting from it.

Incredible central canalside location but still so quiet. Just amazing having the canal right there at the window with gondolas floating past. Beautifully appointed apartment with everything you could need.
Karen from Australia – 29 September 2024 (10/10)
Location of this property was exceptional and close to Saint Marks Square. Absolutely loved the canal view from each window, allowing you to open and take in all that is Venice. Property agent made check-in extremely easy. Loved it!
Russell from Australia – 2 September 2024 (10/10)
Well located spacious apartment with nice canal views. Highly recommended. Would stay again.
What could be improved: No smart TV. Given nominal cost for smart TV and market standard surprised that TV was old with no apps.Robyn from New Zealand – 3 August 2024 (10/10)
The location and apartment was perfect and the staff were exceptional.
What could be improved: Only think I can think of is no TV reception and although a DVD player, no DVDs to play.Douglas from United Arab Emirates – 27 July 2024 (10/10)
Excellent location.
Great location.
Good host.
What could be improved: Nothing.Leanne from United Kingdom – 4 June 2024 (9/10)
Lovely apartment, clean with plenty of room and great facilities. Ideal for our family of six, much more comfortable than getting 3 separate hotel rooms.
Location couldn’t have been better. Only a short walk from the main square. Fabulous views from the windows, able to watch the gondolas row past in the afternoon. A great base for enjoying Venice. Highly recommend.
What could be improved: Only slight negative was the noise from the men making deliveries to local hotels. The noise started early in the morning and were quite loud as they were right outside our windows. However, it was not a big deal and it was interesting to watch. Also meant we were up early to enjoy the day which was good.Debbie from Australia – 15 April 2024 (8/10)
Great location! 5 mins to st Marks square. High quality area, canal view (inside canals), quiet at night, clean. Lovely decor, 2 small apartments for our party of 3. Lots of cooking apparatus. The host meets you at the boat arrival pier and shows you to the property. She was very informative.
What could be improved: The cups are really small, there weren’t any plastic bags for waste, everything else good.Ozden from United Kingdom – 12 March 2024 (10/10)
Spacious very well equipped apartment in a great location. Very good communication with host. Loved watching all the gondolas going past from windows.

Perfect location to explore Venice. So close to St Mark's Square. Wonderful view of the canal, watching gondolas and boat deliveries from our windows.

One of the best stays we had in Venice thus far – and we stay for a few nights at least once a year. Can't recommend enough and certainly plan to come back as soon as possible.
