Ve.N.I.Ce. Cera Tintoretto Suite Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Ve.N.I.Ce. Cera Tintoretto Suite feels like discovering a well-kept secret in the heart of Dorsoduro. This four-star property sits tucked away on a quiet canal-side street, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. You know what struck me most? The way they’ve managed to create this intimate, boutique atmosphere while still delivering all the modern comforts you’d expect from a quality hotel in Venice.

The Dorsoduro Advantage

I mean, let’s talk about this neighborhood for a second — Dorsoduro is where locals actually want to live, not just where tourists end up. You’re literally steps from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Accademia Bridge, but without the crushing crowds of San Marco. The property’s location score of 9.7 isn’t just marketing fluff; couples consistently rate it a perfect 10, and after spending time here, I get why. There’s something magical about stepping out your door and finding authentic bacari (wine bars) where Venetians actually drink their evening spritz.

The Suite Experience

The room itself — well, it’s more of a proper suite really — gives you that classic Venetian elegance without feeling stuffy or museum-like. The space feels thoughtfully designed, with period details that remind you you’re in a centuries-old building, but modern touches that actually work. I particularly appreciated the way natural light filters through the windows, creating these lovely patterns on the terrazzo floors throughout the day. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious for Venice standards, which anyone who’s stayed in the city before will tell you is no small feat.

Practical Perks

What I really loved about staying here was how effortless everything felt. The staff genuinely knows the area — they’ll point you toward the best cicchetti spots that aren’t overrun with tour groups, or suggest which vaporetto routes to take when the main ones are packed. There’s no pretentious concierge desk or formal restaurant trying to be something it’s not; instead, you get honest recommendations and the kind of local insights that make your Venice experience feel more authentic. The property manages to strike this perfect balance between being professional and feeling personal.

Why Guests Love It

Honestly, it comes down to location and atmosphere. You’re in one of Venice’s most desirable neighborhoods, staying in a place that feels more like a sophisticated friend’s apartment than a typical hotel. The fact that it consistently earns such high ratings — especially that perfect 10 from couples — tells you something about how well they understand what travelers actually want. It’s not about flashy amenities or over-the-top service; it’s about creating a base where you can experience Venice like someone who actually lives here, then retreat to a beautiful, comfortable space at the end of the day.

Exploring Venice mixes Gothic arches, artisan mask ateliers, and cicchetti crawls along shadowy rii.

The agency staff was very helpful explaining how to reach the apartment when we got lost following Google maps. Anna was waiting for us with a smile and warm welcome! The apartment itself is a perfect blend of comfort and style—from the plush beds and linens to the modern design and elegant entrance. Every detail reflects thoughtful taste and quality. And the altana balcony? A true gem, with a great view.

A wonderful stay—we would return in a heartbeat!

  • Eni from Switzerland – 1 April 2024 (9/10)

Great location, beautiful view from our room, very clean and well maintained apartment. Super easy and comfortable check in. Good restaurants nearby. Isabella was very helpful. This apartment definitely exceeded our expectations. Very much recommended. We had an amazing stay indeed.

  • Igor from France – 6 January 2024 (9/10)

The best location possible in Venice! Direct access from the airport, train station or other islands of the city. The water transport's stop is just in the front of the entrance.

What could be improved: The apartment was not clean enough.

    Location

  • Monique from United States – 24 June 2023 (9/10)

the location was beyond perfect, the accommodations were modern and very spacious. the view from our room was extraordinary and we had plenty of natural light coming into the room. wonderful to have a small fridge and kitchen stove top, dishwasher and other appliances. they also allowed us to check in early which was extremely helpful since we arrived around 11 am.

What could be improved: the a/c worked well but never got super cold. we are from Florida and are used to having our a/c on 70 Fahrenheit. it was extremely hot during the days we were there, and in all fairness it worked as well as the other hotels we stayed in during our stay in Italy.

  • Loren from United States – 16 June 2023 (9/10)

The location was great!, being right by the Zattere water bus stop. We took the Vaporetto water bus from the Venice city center upon arrival as well as to the Marco Polo airport, so convenient. The two bedroom property was spacious, clean and comfortable. Only 15 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. Great restaurants and shops close by. We felt very safe traveling and staying here!

What could be improved: The A/c takes awhile to cool the space down.
Keeping drapes closed during the day will help.
The safe wasn’t installed / bolted down in closet, but this could easily be remedied.
