Honestly, finding the place was a bit of a treasure hunt – no big signs, just a discreet door buzzer – but once I buzzed in, the host greeted me like an old friend, handing over keys and a quick rundown on the best nearby bacari for cicchetti (those little Venetian tapas, if you haven’t tried them yet). The check-in was a breeze, no fuss, and they even had my room ready early after that long flight.

What really won me over, though, was how the suite nailed that authentic Venice vibe without feeling stuffy or overdone. It’s in one of those historic buildings – think exposed wooden beams and creaky floorboards that add character, not annoyance – and my room overlooked a quiet side canal, where you’d hear the occasional splash of a gondola oar in the mornings. The bed was plush, like sinking into a cloud after a day of pounding pavements, and the kitchenette came stocked with basics, which was a lifesaver for brewing espresso before heading out. I mean, you’re just a five-minute stroll from the Rialto Bridge, but far enough that the evening noise fades to a gentle hum – well, except during Carnevale, when everything amps up, but that’s part of the fun. Nearby, there’s this tiny bakery on Campo Santa Maria Formosa (grab a fritella if it’s in season; they’re these doughnut-like things dusted in sugar, absolute heaven). The place is spotless, with that faint salty sea air drifting in through the windows, and the Wi-Fi was surprisingly zippy for streaming a quick Netflix unwind. Oh, and no parking worries here – Venice is car-free, obviously – but they pointed me to the Piazzale Roma garage if you need it for the mainland hop.

All in all, if you’re after a spot that feels like your own little Venetian hideaway rather than a generic hotel chain, this is it.   The location is awesome. 5 minute walk to Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Basilica, main Vaporetto lines. 2 separate apartments each with kitchens, bathroom, laundry, and dining table and small couch. Spacious and comfortable for a family or group. Luca was a very nice host and contacted me via Whatsapp before our arrival to meet us and explain everything including how to get to the grocery store.
  
  What could be improved: The air conditioning was a bit weak and didn't cool very well. It is located directly above a restaurant so it can be noisy in the evening. The door can be a bit finicky to close/lock and to unlock (you have to jiggle the door knob to unlock it and make sure it closes well too).

  The location is incredible, plenty of room and air conditioning worked great. But the best was our host Eleonora!! She was so sweet and helpful. She gave great recommendations and even helped us get a lost suitcase!

  We loved our stay at Ve-nice suites. The host provided useful tips to get to the apartment, such as transportation options. Moreover, the person who was waiting for us upon arrival was arrival, Luca, was super kind even though we arrived later than expected, and he explained us everything needed to make the most of our stay and even gave us restaurant recommendations. The apartment is actually 2 apartments together, so it was great for our group of 5 adults. They bathrooms were spacious, comfy beds, and stable wifi. The kitchen was very well equipped. My family and I truly recommend this place.
  
  What could be improved: One day we wanted to use the oven and we couldn't turn it on. We informed Luca and he answered right away, trying to help us step by step. Even though it didn't work, I appreciate the fluid communication and willingness to help from Luca.

  The location is great, it feels safe, it's spacious, clean, has everything we needed, easy check out.
  
  What could be improved: After arriving at 10 pm, we paid for late check in but the host was late to meet us. We gave timely updates and he said he'd meet us in 5 mins, and we ended up having to wait 15 in dark unfamiliar location with all our luggage. It was smooth after he arrived, but I think it's important to get that right, especially if we paid extra.

  The apartment is just a stone throw away from Piazza San Marco and a small walk from the vaporetto stop which is very convenient if you are carrying luggage. The property is very spacious and is situated in a quiet street a few steps away from a lovely Campo where one can find restaurants and also a bar.
