venezianischer Palazzo mit kostenlosen WLAN nähe Markusplatz Overview

First Impressions

Walking into venezianischer Palazzo mit kostenlosen WLAN nähe Markusplatz feels like stepping into someone’s beautifully preserved family home — if that family happened to be Venetian nobility. The name pretty much tells you everything: it’s a genuine palazzo with free WiFi, and yes, it’s genuinely close to St. Mark’s Square. I mean, when a place puts “free WiFi” right in the name, you know they’re being refreshingly honest about what travelers actually care about. This four-star property sits in Campo Do Pozzi, which honestly sounds more romantic than it has any right to.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in Castello, which means you get that authentic Venice neighborhood feel without being stuck in the tourist chaos of San Marco. The location score of 8.9 isn’t just marketing fluff; you can actually walk to the Doge’s Palace in about eight minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear tour groups at dawn. Campo Do Pozzi itself is this quiet little square where locals still hang their laundry and kids play football — you know, real Venice stuff. The vaporetto stops are close enough when you need them, but honestly, everything worth seeing is walkable from here.

The Palazzo Experience

What strikes you immediately is how they’ve kept the palazzo’s character intact while making it actually livable for modern travelers. The room have those impossibly high ceilings and original terrazzo floors that make you feel like you’re living in a period drama. The free WiFi (remember, it’s in the name) actually works well throughout the building, which isn’t always a given in these old Venetian structures with their thick walls. Each room feels different — some overlook the campo, others peek toward distant canal views, but they all maintain that sense of faded grandeur that makes Venice so captivating.

Daily Life at the Palazzo

Mornings here have this lovely rhythm to them. You’ll hear the city waking up gradually — water taxis puttering by, shopkeepers opening their shutters, the gentle hum of Venice coming to life. The palazzo doesn’t try to be a full-service hotel with every amenity under the sun, but what it does offer feels authentic and thoughtful. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so they’ll point you toward that tiny bacaro around the corner where locals grab their morning coffee, or tell you which bridge to cross for the best sunset views.

Why Guests Love It

Couples especially seem to fall for this place — there’s something undeniably romantic about staying in an actual palazzo where you can imagine centuries of Venetian stories unfolding. The combination of historical atmosphere and modern necessities (that WiFi really is excellent) creates this perfect balance where you feel transported but not stranded. You’re close enough to all the must-see sights that you won’t waste time getting around, but far enough from the cruise ship crowds that you can actually enjoy quiet moments together. It’s Venice as it should be experienced — beautiful, authentic, and just a little bit magical without trying too hard.

Venice’s apartments welcome families with vaporetto passes, kitchenettes for market hauls, and bridges leading to Lido playgrounds.

  • Aurelie from United Kingdom – 6 November 2024 (9/10)

The flat is very well maintained. The bedroom windows open on the canal; it's gorgeous. The decor, with the curtains, beds, etc., tends to have a palazzo feel. It felt special.
The neighbourhood is very quiet, outside the touristic path, and well located if you are visiting the biennale.

  • Guillaume from France – 4 May 2024 (9/10)

A beautiful appartement with a Venetian decoration , fully equipped, perfectly clean and conveniently located : closed to the SanMarco but the inspiring and quiet area of Venice. You can walk alone in the neighbourhood, forgetting about the tourists.

Close to 2 vaporetto , one on north , one on south it is really easy to reach any part of the city , the island or the airport Marco Polo. (6mm of walk , 45 mm of Vaporetto B).

And communication, and the perfect assistance of Ms Ale make your stay easy and enjoy the city.

What could be improved: I wish I could stay more !!

  • Elena from United Kingdom – 15 October 2023 (9/10)

Property is very beautiful, extremely well located, close to local amazing restaurants away from the commercial ones around San Marco or Rialto. Beds are extremely comfortable as well.

What could be improved: It is not suitable for non-family or people who need more privacy, as the bedrooms are wagon style, you need to pass through the first one to get to the second one; bathroom door is glass and it is not sound proofed at all. Does not even close all the way. Luckily we went with family 🙂

  • Maureen from Netherlands – 1 October 2023 (9/10)

The rooms were big and pretty, the bed was great and there were great kitchen supplies.

  • Stephen from South Africa – 25 September 2023 (9/10)

Beautiful apartment in a quiet residential area of Castello, not far from San Marco. A tasteful combination of classic Venice with modern facilities, notably the bathroom and kitchen, which have been very nicely modernised. The air conditioners were greatly appreciated, as we visited Venice during a hot and humid week.

What could be improved: With no access to wifi when we arrived, we were unable to phone the person designated to meet us, until we persuaded the Osteria nearby to share their wifi password. The owner's response was not satisfactory. He initially ignored my advice on implementing a 'Plan B' and simply told us that this has never been a problem before now. Eventually he accepted my advice, so any future guests who arrive with no wifi access will hopefully not face this issue.

  • Cathy from United Kingdom – 31 August 2023 (9/10)

We enjoyed being a little way from other tourists, in a quiet neighbourhood, with a wonderful restaurant in the square. The property was beautiful, spacious and authentic. It was stunningly decorated and well equipped, comfortable and easy to find everything we needed. It instantly felt like a rather grand home away from home. Wonderful! Sasha was very responsive and helpful. He recommended places to go for gelato and helped us out when we realised we only had one outer door key on the second set of keys.

What could be improved: It was awkward having only one full set of keys. It would've been useful for the owner to provide two full sets, but our host was very responsive and helped us get in.

  • Craig from United States – 6 July 2023 (9/10)

This apartment was lovely! They went full Venetian–every room, including the bathroom, had a chandelier. There were elegant curtains at every window. Kitchen was large and well-stocked. Bathroom was large with a nice shower. Beds were very comfortable. The location was away from the hustle and bustle of St. Mark's, but was just a short walk to get there. Just a few minutes walk to a vaporetta stop, and to food. I don't know if we would have found it without Google maps, but GM got us there quickly and easily. Interior courtyard (although it wasn't open to use when we were there), canal view out the master bedroom window.

What could be improved: Air conditioning is just in the master bedroom. We kept the connecting door between the two bedrooms open, and were able to cool them. There is a lovely courtyard with a bench swing and a little view of the canal, but it was not open when we were there.

  • Anand from United States – 5 July 2023 (9/10)

Good location, away from the tourist hussles and noise.
Most major sites and boat stops are 10-15min walk.
Nice view to courtyard garden and partial view of canal.
Very elegantly furnished – Venetian style.
Nice modern bathroom, and super comfy beds.
Easy to get to from Airport with one boat and 10min walk.

What could be improved: Aircon in one bedroom only, and it needs to be updated. Table fans were useful.
Need better blinds for windows, esp in summer. Not critcal for us as it helped us get up early to explore.

  • Svetoslav from Bulgaria – 6 February 2023 (9/10)

We liked it a lot. The apartment is old style and 10 minutes from San Marco. There are shops and restaurants around. Warm, cozy and very well furnished apartment. The kitchen is well equipped. Alex is wonderful and very welcoming. He allowed us to leave our suitcases for a few hours on the day of our departure.

What could be improved: We arrived late in the evening and the apartment was cold. There was not a single bottle of water which is provided in the other apartments, especially for the Genius 3. One bedroom is walk-through, which may be an inconvenience for some.

  • Yaroslava from Ukraine – 14 November 2022 (9/10)

    everything was perfect

What could be improved: it will be good to have more towels
