Venice Dream House Overview
First Impressions
When I first heard about Venice Dream House, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a property with multiple locations scattered around the city center. But honestly, this turned out to be one of its biggest advantages. This four-star property gives you the chance to stay right in the thick of things — we’re talking genuine San Marco territory here, not some distant mainland hotel pretending to be “near” Venice. The location score of 9.5 isn’t just marketing fluff; you really can step out your door and be surrounded by centuries of history within minutes.
The Heart of Venice Experience
What struck me most was how the different locations let you experience Venice like a local rather than just another tourist. Depending on which apartment you get, you might find yourself on a quiet canal where gondoliers actually live, or tucked into a narrow street that most visitors never discover. I mean, there’s something pretty special about having your morning coffee while watching the city wake up from your window. The fact that couples rate the location 9.6 makes total sense — Venice is already romantic, but staying in the actual heart of it? That’s next level.
Your Venetian Home Base
The accommodations themselves feel more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a typical hotel room. Each unit has its own character (this is Venice, after all — nothing’s cookie-cutter here), and you’ll likely get a proper kitchen setup. This is actually huge when you’re in Venice, because let’s be real, eating out for every meal gets expensive fast. Plus, there’s something magical about shopping at the Rialto market and preparing dinner while the evening light bounces off the canal outside your window.
Getting Around and Settling In
Now, parking in Venice is… well, it’s boats and walking, so forget about that entirely. But that’s exactly the point. From these central locations, you can walk to St. Mark’s Square, cross the Rialto Bridge, or catch a vaporetto to anywhere else you want to explore. I found myself using the apartment as a perfect retreat between wandering sessions — Venice can be overwhelming with all its beauty and crowds, so having a quiet space to recharge made all the difference.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.2 rating really reflects what this place does well: it puts you exactly where you want to be without the stuffiness of a traditional hotel. You get the independence of your own space, the authenticity of staying in a real Venetian building, and the convenience of being steps away from everything that matters. It’s particularly perfect for couples who want to experience Venice at their own pace — you know, lingering over morning coffee, taking afternoon naps, and heading out for evening strolls when the day-trippers have gone home. Venice Dream House gets that sometimes the best travel experiences happen when you can just… be somewhere, rather than constantly rushing to see everything.
Venice’s hotels pair butlered gondolas, Murano chandeliers, and concierge-led lagoon hops.

Central location, spacious appartement, friendly host.
Laura from Colombia – 2 January 2025 (10/10)
The location was great! The apartment was beautiful, warm, cozy, and soundproof. And the host was very lovely, kind and did their best to introduce not just the apartment but the city.
What could be improved: It's not that I didn’t like it, but when it came to booking apartments, since you don’t cook that much, you appreciated finding basics like oil and salt already provided, so you don't have to buy a whole bottle. However, there was coffee and panettone!Madalina from Romania – 28 October 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was very clean, confortable and close to the main attractions in Venice. The staff was nice and helpful, giving us all the details we needed. We definitely recommend it and we will look for this appartment if we’ll be back in Venice!
Belinda from Australia – 28 October 2024 (8/10)
It's central location and clean apartment. Almost new iron and ironing board. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
What could be improved: Steep stairs and musty smells in main bathroom.Peter from Denmark – 23 October 2024 (10/10)
Perfect location in a small and quiet street but only few minutes’ walk from the Rialto Bridge and about five minutes’ walk from Saint Mark's square.
The host was very kind and helpful, and she meet us when we arrived by the water bus. The apartment had a very high standard with enough space for two adults and three children.Meigan from United States – 16 October 2024 (10/10)
We loved having the host meet us to show us where to go and give us instructions for where everything was. It was especially helpful to have the maps that included recommendations for restaurants and how to navigate through the city.
What could be improved: I thought when I booked originally the address showed up at a different location, so we were a little further from the attractions than we expected. But it wasn't horrible to get in the extra steps each day. 🙂Noreen from Ireland – 14 October 2024 (10/10)
Loved the proximity to shops , restaurants, and places of interest. Everything that a group required for a short stay in a very compact space. Bedrooms and bathroom were spacious. We received comprehensive information about our stay from Sonia and Morena. Loved our trip to Venice. Grazie.
What could be improved: Small sitting room with just one double couch. Wasn't too sure what to expect as photos on site are of different apartments. Didn't know exactly where we were staying until we arrived.Michael from United States – 28 May 2023 (10/10)
We loved the level of hospitality Morena (host) showed us! She met us at the boat stop, she walked us to the property, she showed us around the apartment, gave us suggestions on where to eat lunch/dinner & told us where to go to see the main attractions. Lastly, she kept in communication with us the entire time if we had any questions. If you’re looking to really get to know Venice while being away from all the tourist traps, this is your location!! We found great “neighborhood” restaurants and bars which we frequented enough that they remembered our names. The “tourist” spots like Realto Bridge and San Marco Square were 10 minutes away. The kitchen and bathroom was brand new and modern. The Wi-Fi was strong and we loved having a washing machine. Finally, the AC really came in handy.
What could be improved: We didn’t have anything negative to say here.
