Santa Croce is where I’d want to stay if I were visiting Venice again, and apparently couples agree — they’ve rated this location a solid 9.1. You’re close enough to all the major sights that nothing feels like a trek, but far enough from the Piazza San Marco crowds that you can actually breathe. The area has this authentic Venetian feel where you’ll see locals doing their grocery shopping and kids playing in small campos. Plus, you know what’s really nice? You can walk to the train station without dragging your luggage over a dozen bridges — trust me, that matters more than you think.

The Rooms

Here’s where Venice New Upscale Residence really gets it right. The beds are genuinely comfortable, which might sound basic but you’d be surprised how many Venice hotels seem to think atmosphere makes up for a mattress that feels like cardboard. The rooms aren’t huge — this is Venice, after all — but they’re thoughtfully designed with enough space to actually unpack your suitcase. The bathrooms are modern without feeling sterile, and there’s decent water pressure, which is honestly a small miracle in this city.

The property sits in what’s considered the top-rated area in Venice with a location score of 8.9, and after staying here, I get why. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing real Venice rather than tourist Venice, but you’re not sacrificing convenience. The staff actually seems to know the neighborhood — they’ll point you toward the local bacaro where Venetians grab their evening spritz, not just the obvious tourist spots. The building itself has character without being overly precious about its historic details.

You’re staying in a real Venetian neighborhood where the morning sounds are church bells and delivery boats rather than tour groups, but you’re not roughing it.   Remarkable points: -Easy to resch out from public arrival to the building ( (less than 1 km) with the minimun stairs accross the way
  -Perfect location for the tour and access to different places of interest
  – Easy Check-in and handy instruction
  -Super clean accomodation
  
  What could be improved: – Poor quality of furnitures. Apparantely it‘s a nature of rental usage however we have seen multiple signs of broken/damaged stuffs like TV board, hair dryer
  – Landlorad didn‘t respond to our queries once we have raised some issues
  – The water was cold in the second day of our staying and we had to take shower with the cold water in January

  Great location. Steps away from the water bus. It was an easy walk to the plaza, where we had arranged a car service to the airport at the end of our stay. The apartment was very nice.

  In a good location, clean and comfortable room. Nice and modern and good price.
  
  What could be improved: Some of the items in the room were broken and when we arrived the hot water system wasn't on. The host was also hard to contact when we had an inquiry while we were in the room.

  We rented two units one upstairs and one downstairs, both were absolutely wonderful. They were clean, spacious and beds comfortable. We had three little kids in one of the units and they were able to move around and play freely. The large fridge and clothes washer were very helpful. The AC was amazingly cold for summer in Venice. Our fight arrived early in the morning and I was told we could drop off our bags in the units until checkin time which helped us a lot. I was very happy with this place.
  
  What could be improved: The WiFi in the downstairs until didn’t work but were not in the room long enough to matter much to us.

  Great location, everything within walking distance. Apartment is modern, spacious & clean. All rooms have its own bathrooms.
  
  What could be improved: Aircondition is a bit weak which made the room stuffy on top floor especially in July heat. No microwave. Not sure if the hot tub works as no instructions & could not figure out. No locks in bathrooms.

  Great location close to the train station and easy walking to everything you would like to see in Venice.
  
  What could be improved: Just a couple of minor things.. no iron and the stove top coffee maker would not work on the induction top and late night noise from other apartments.

  This is a very nice smart designed studio divided for zones of bedroom, living and dinning space. Can be good for 4 people. 2 people are on the bed and 2 on the big sofa. We really liked this apartment and I can recommend it! Very well designed and looks cozy
