Hotel Description

Welcome to the enchanting Venice Salute Apartments, a charming 3-star accommodation nestled in the artistic Dorsoduro district of Venice, Italy. This collection of apartments offers guests an authentic Venetian experience with the comfort and convenience expected from a well-rated establishment, boasting a solid 7.9 rating from satisfied travelers. Unlike traditional hotels, Venice Salute Apartments provides accommodations across multiple addresses throughout the Dorsoduro area, allowing guests to immerse themselves in different corners of this historic neighborhood while maintaining consistent quality and service.

Situated in the Dorsoduro sestiere (district), one of Venice’s six historic neighborhoods, Venice Salute Apartments places you in one of the city’s most culturally rich yet less crowded areas. The Dorsoduro district is home to the magnificent Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, from which the apartments likely draw their name. This 17th-century architectural masterpiece stands at the entrance to the Grand Canal and offers breathtaking views across the water to St. Mark’s Square. Within walking distance, guests will discover world-renowned art collections at the Gallerie dell’Accademia and the contemporary masterpieces of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. The vibrant Campo Santa Margherita, with its authentic local atmosphere, cafés, and restaurants, provides a genuine taste of Venetian daily life away from the more tourist-heavy areas. The apartments’ strategic location in Dorsoduro offers the perfect balance – close enough to major attractions while providing a more peaceful retreat from the bustling crowds that fill the San Marco and Rialto areas.

What sets Venice Salute Apartments apart is its approach to accommodations. With properties at multiple addresses throughout Dorsoduro, guests have the opportunity to select the specific location that best suits their preferences and travel plans. Each apartment is thoughtfully integrated into the fabric of Venetian life, allowing visitors to experience the city as locals do. This distributed accommodation model, earning its commendable 7.9 rating, reflects a thoughtful approach to Venetian tourism – one that values authenticity and immersion. The apartments likely feature the characteristic Venetian architectural elements: tall windows, perhaps some with canal views, traditional terrazzo flooring, and carefully preserved historic details blended with modern conveniences. The 3-star classification ensures a reliable standard of comfort and amenities, while the apartment format provides additional space and self-catering options not typically found in standard hotel rooms. For travelers seeking to experience Venice beyond the postcard views – to shop at local markets, prepare simple meals with fresh Italian ingredients, and establish a temporary home in one of the world’s most extraordinary cities – Venice Salute Apartments offers an ideal base for exploration, relaxation, and cultural discovery in the floating city.

Reviews

  • Rachel from Ireland – 28 September 2024 (7/10)

    Quiet location
Easy to find and get around from
    Lovely comfy bed

  • Bernardo from Spain – 26 March 2025 (9/10)

Location is fantastic, very quiet but just one step crossing the canal from San Marco

What could be improved: Mixing the water on the shower is tricky, but all fine otherwise.

  • Emily from Ireland – 11 June 2024 (8/10)

It was beautiful and great facilities

What could be improved: No hot water

  • Ge from Australia – 30 April 2024 (8/10)

The location was perfect and the apartment was very cosy, especially as it was quite cool in Venice during our stay, so it was a comfort to be able to easily come back to a warm shelter. Natalia, who let us in, was lovely and she promptly helped us when we had a query. We would have no hesitation in staying here again and would seek out this apartment for future stays.

What could be improved: The bathroom water pressure is not great and the shower a little awkwardly positioned under stairs, but this is Venice and these houses are perhaps hundreds of years old, so we are grateful that so much hard work has been done to make this property such a cosy home to stay in.

  • Pavlo from Ukraine – 24 June 2023 (8/10)

It is an absolutely beautiful and authentic gem apartment in the most unique city in the world. The location is amazing, being at a very quiet place, and at the same time pretty close to all the interesting spots in town. The host gave a very very detailed and precise information about how to get there and check in, and was very helpful.

What could be improved: Those are so minor things compared to how I liked these apartments that they don't even worth mentioning, like the missing plug in a bathtub.

  • Tatevik from Armenia – 5 April 2023 (9/10)

it was really good equipped house. and it was beyond expectations as there are some not good comments. The apartment are located 15 – 20 minutes walk from san marco square but on the other side of canal. The heating was good. the hot water always works. It is furnished with old style furniture but for venice it is rather interesting. The only disappointment I didn’t notice 70€ + 30 € payments before booking but it worth it.

  • Gleb from France – 6 October 2022 (7/10)

nice location, nice and comfortable one bedroom apartment

What could be improved: big problems with hot water in the bathroom all the days of our stay.

  • Peter from Netherlands – 29 September 2024 (7/10)

Spacious, characterful atmosphere and tastefully decorated apartment. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood. The location was fine, close to a boarding point for the boat transport and not far from San Marco square as the crow flies.

What could be improved: The apartment has overdue maintenance, such as jammed windows and doors, leaking taps, a worn-out sofa.

  • Jill from Ireland – 24 March 2024 (7/10)

Dorsoduro is a quiet area of Venice, ideal for art lovers with easy access to the Peggy the Guggenheim

What could be improved: There is no oven, so not ideal if you are staying longer than just a few days.

  • Mark from Malta – 4 December 2023 (7/10)

Very Quite location and very central

What could be improved: Apartment could do with a refurbishing exercise and the wifi was not strong in all the apartment , we could use only in the Bedroom
