You’re actually in the real heart of the city, not some touristy approximation of it. St. Mark’s Square is practically on your doorstep, but what I love is that you can also duck into tiny bacari (those little wine bars locals frequent) that most tourists never find. The Rialto Bridge is an easy walk, and honestly, you’ll probably stumble upon it while just wandering around. There’s something magical about being able to step out your door and immediately be part of Venice’s daily rhythm.

The Space

The room setup works really well for couples — which explains why it gets such high marks from romantic travelers. It’s not huge, but it’s thoughtfully arranged with everything you actually need. The kitchen area is compact but functional, perfect for making morning coffee or storing those amazing pastries from the local bakery. What struck me most was how the space feels authentically Venetian rather than like a generic rental. The windows open onto typical Venetian views, and you get those lovely morning sounds of the city waking up — water lapping, distant conversations, maybe a gondolier singing if you’re lucky.

Daily Life

Actually staying here versus just visiting Venice during the day is completely different. You get to experience the city when the day-trippers leave and it becomes this intimate, almost village-like place. There’s a great little restaurant around the corner that I stumbled upon — the kind where the owner remembers your face after one visit. The grocery stores nearby stock everything you need, and there’s something satisfying about shopping for dinner ingredients in the same markets Venetians have used for centuries. Plus, having your own space means you can take afternoon breaks, which honestly saves your feet and your sanity during busy sightseeing days.

Why Guests Love It

With an 8.8 rating, this place clearly gets something right, and I think it’s the balance between authentic Venice living and tourist practicality. Couples especially seem to appreciate having their own little Venetian nest — there’s something romantic about making coffee together while planning your day of exploration.   What could be improved: Missed electric coffee machine (For a no-italian, using the traditional coffee macchina needs some education from a grand-father 🙂 )

  Monica is a good host. She always text me and mert me at the city to give the keys.
  The house is near the everywhere. Actıally Venice is a very small city. House, beds, linens were clean. Also the size of the house is efficient.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is very old and humid. Actually it is normal for Venice city center. It would be better if there were flyswatter at the windows for the mosquitos.

  Great location. Full of character. Comfortable for us. When you look out of any of the windows you are reminded that you are in a special and unique city and the apartment reflects this. Look in the distance from the window in the well equipped kitchen and you can see Gondolas passing at the end of old passageway!

  Fantastic location: so close to everything, minutes from the vaporetto at Rialto, or from San Marco Plazza for sightseeing. Supermarkets and bakery close by.
  Amazing hosts: Very easy communication with Monica, through Whattsapp. Immediate reaction to help us and replace one non functionning appliance.#
  Beautiful appartment: In an old building, in a lively neighborhhod during the day, but very quiet during the night. The appartement is very charming, it sometimes shows its age (low water pressure for example), but to me it adds to its charm!). Kitchen fully equiped. Beds very confortable.
  
  What could be improved: Because it is an old building, there is some limitations inherent to the building. Water pressure in the bathroom is low, some rooms are rather small (the second bedroom is appropriate for 2 kids, but not for 2 adults, bathroom a little bit small), you can hear sometimes the neighboors music (they are however very respectfull and never made a noise passed 9pm).
  However nothing bothered us, and the appartment is totally as advertised.

  Monica and Alberto are fantastic hosts; they waited for us at the ferry station when we got lost. The apartment is superb and very clean. It kept the old features of the Venetian buildings, with wood beams, but the structure is very modern. You have everything you need in the flat. In the kitchen, there are pots, pans, cutleries, kettle, microvawe and hob. In the bathroom, there are impeccable white towels, soap and shower gel. The shower room is big enough. The rooms have white cotton sheets, 2 sets of pillows and we had the best sleep. We loved everything about the apartment! Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely come back.

  The location was minutes from the historic Duomo, on a cute, quiet neighborhood street. The two floor, loft style arrangement worked well for the 3 of us.
