First Impressions

You know what struck me most about 3C B&B? It’s tucked away on this narrow little street called Ramo dei Padovani in Castello, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking. But that’s exactly what makes it special — it feels like you’re staying in someone’s actual Venetian home rather than some touristy hotel. The building itself has that weathered charm you see all over Venice, with those typical shuttered windows and the kind of entrance that makes you feel like you’re discovering a secret.

Location Magic

I mean, the location is just ridiculous — and I say that in the best possible way. This three-star place sits right in the heart of everything, but somehow manages to feel peaceful once you’re inside. You can walk to San Marco in maybe ten minutes, but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear the crowds at night. The couples who stay here absolutely love it (apparently they rate the location 9.9, which honestly doesn’t surprise me), and I get why — there’s something romantic about wandering these tiny streets together, especially in the evening when the day-trippers have gone home.

The Room Experience

Now, the room situation here is actually pretty impressive for what you’re paying. The beds are genuinely comfortable — like, surprisingly so for a B&B of this size. I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Venice where you feel every spring, but here you’ll actually get a good night’s sleep. The rooms aren’t huge (this is Venice, after all), but they’re thoughtfully designed with enough storage and those lovely high ceilings that make the space feel bigger than it is. The windows open onto either the street or a small courtyard, and there’s something magical about hearing the city wake up in the morning.

Breakfast and Daily Rhythms

The breakfast setup is simple but done well — fresh pastries, good coffee, and usually some local touches that change depending on what’s available. It’s served in a small common area that feels more like someone’s dining room than a hotel breakfast space. The owners are genuinely helpful with recommendations, and they know the neighborhood well enough to point you toward the less obvious gems. I actually ended up at this tiny bacaro they suggested that I never would have found on my own.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel authentically Venetian without trying too hard. You’re not getting premium amenities or fancy services, but you are getting that rare thing in Venice — a genuine local experience at a reasonable price. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you consider what most people are actually looking for: a clean, comfortable place to sleep in an incredible location, run by people who care about their guests’ experience. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Venice trip before you’ve even checked out.

  The host (Juri) was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location was absolutely perfect to launch a stay in Venice. A mere 3-5 minute walk to St. Marco Square and a few hundred metres from the water bus terminals. The airport transfer 'Alilaguna' takes you from San Marco Airport, to these terminals every 30 minutes.
  Breakfast was excellent. Smallish selection, but everything you could want to start your day.
  Hot toasties, omelets, fresh boiled eggs, yoghurt, cereals, breads, warm croissant & preserves. Fruit juices & lovely coffee served to your table.
  Rooms were exceptionally clean, cosy with small TV, kettle with tea/coffee and a mini bar.
  Would absolutely make the effort to stay here again and I will recommend this accommodation to friends & family.

  The host made us feel very welcome upon arrival and gave us all the necessary instructions to make our stay there carefree. We loved the facility and our room was exceptionally comfortable. The location was perfect as we were able to walk everywhere and see all we had planned! The water bus took us within a minutes walk to the door so walking with our luggage in hand was a breeze
