Hotel Description

Welcome to the exquisite Ca’ Marcello – BIENNALE, a distinguished 4-star gem nestled in the historic heart of Venice, Italy. This refined establishment, commanding an impressive 9.1 rating from satisfied guests, offers an exceptional blend of Venetian charm and contemporary luxury. Located at 1154 Calle Marcello in the culturally rich Castello district, this hotel stands as a testament to Venice’s timeless elegance and artistic heritage.

The Ca’ Marcello’s privileged position in the Castello area places guests within the authentic fabric of Venetian life while maintaining proximity to the city’s most coveted attractions. The hotel’s address suggests a strategic location near the renowned Venice Biennale exhibition, making it an ideal choice for art enthusiasts and cultural travelers. The Castello district, one of Venice’s largest and most characteristic neighborhoods, offers a genuine glimpse into local Venetian life away from the more tourist-heavy areas. From the hotel, guests can easily explore the magnificent Arsenale, the historic shipyard complex that once powered Venice’s maritime dominance, and the lush Giardini, home to many Biennale pavilions. The iconic St. Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco) is also within comfortable walking distance, allowing visitors to conveniently experience the architectural splendor of St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace.

What truly sets Ca’ Marcello – BIENNALE apart is its exceptional quality of service and ambiance, reflected in its outstanding 9.1 rating. This near-perfect score places it among Venice’s most highly regarded accommodations, a distinction earned through consistent excellence and attention to detail. The hotel likely occupies a traditional Venetian building, perhaps a converted palazzo, offering guests an authentic taste of the city’s architectural heritage while providing all modern comforts expected of a premium 4-star establishment. The interiors presumably balance Venetian classic design elements—think Murano glass chandeliers, terrazzo floors, and rich textiles—with contemporary amenities and stylish furnishings. The hotel’s connection to the Biennale, as suggested by its name, indicates a possible artistic flair or cultural programming that would appeal to discerning travelers seeking more than just accommodation, but an immersive Venetian experience. Whether visiting for Venice’s artistic offerings, historical significance, or romantic atmosphere, Ca’ Marcello – BIENNALE stands as an exceptional base from which to discover the timeless allure of La Serenissima, promising memories as enduring as the floating city itself.

  • Ulrike from Austria – 10 October 2024 (10/10)

    > EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION with the host and his team from the beginning. Immediately after booking, a WhatsApp group was established where we received detailed instructions about how to reach the property, as well as a lot of useful information (list of restaurants was great !) They responded quickly to all my extra questions and went out of their way to confirm Vaporetto connections from Punta Sabbioni where we parked.
    > GREAT LOCATION for visitors of the Biennale – right between the Arsenale and the Giardini, in a SUPER QUIET side lane ! Yet with a few steps you reach Via Giuseppe Garibaldi which is full of restaurants and grocery stores.
    > GOOD LAYOUT of the apartment – there is a fairly large bedroom with two doors. The sofa bed outside is very comfortable and placed in a way that provides an unexpected level of privacy for all parties, i.e. the bathroom can be accessed by everybody without having to enter or pass each other's sleeping areas. There is even a little backyard ☺️.
    > WELL EQUIPPED KITCHEN – there was nothing missing, and what's more we were welcome with a tray on the table that contained juice, drinking water, a bottle of Prosecco and little sweet and salty snacks. Sooo thoughtful !!

What could be improved: If I have to find something that I did not like, it was probably the bathroom door – it is a folding door and did not run smoothly in its frame and kept getting stuck in the top part.

Everything is excellent! Federico was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place

What could be improved: Explanation of the HVAC

  • Hana from Czech Republic – 20 September 2023 (9/10)

The location is very good, quiet, yet not far from the very center of Venice. The apartment is on the ground floor in a narrow, quiet street, which makes it a bit dark, but as we stayed out the whole day, it was fine for us.

  • Veselin from Bulgaria – 3 July 2023 (10/10)

Excellent service! Very helpful people and professional team. Nice, clean and romantic flat.

  • Elisabeth from United States – 16 October 2022 (9/10)

The location was quiet and picturesque – yet very close to restaurants, a small grocery store and other shops.

What could be improved: The shower/toilet area of the bathroom is a bit cramped, but the separate bathroom sink area makes up for it.

  • Artur from Poland – 26 November 2024 (8/10)

Close to Arsenale and Giardini. Very close to Via Garibaldi. Very communicative and caring host. Very good equipment in the apartment. Dry and comfortable temperature.

What could be improved: A bit dark as we stayed in late November – in summer may be better.

  • Maria from Austria – 2 January 2024 (9/10)

The staff was very friendly; the apartment was cosy and clean, it was located on a quiet street, it was warm in the apartment (we stayed end of December), the kitchen was excellently equipped.

What could be improved: The sofa bed is not very comfortable for two adults sleeping there

  • Konstanze from Germany – 7 August 2024 (8/10)

  • Daniel from Austria – 28 July 2024 (10/10)

    Neu renoviert in perfekter Lage.
Gastgeber sehr nett und alles perfekt erklärt.
