Here’s what I love about staying in this part of Venice — you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the cruise ship crowds that flood San Marco. The Rialto Bridge is just a pleasant walk away, and you can actually get to the train station without dragging your luggage through a maze of bridges (trust me on this one). What really struck me is how this area feels more like where actual Venetians live and work, especially in the mornings when you see people heading to their jobs rather than just tourists with cameras.

Your Room and That Terrace

The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of Venetian character and modern functionality — think original beamed ceilings but with air conditioning that actually works. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for Venice standards, which anyone who’s stayed in the city will appreciate. But honestly, the real star here is that terrace (it’s literally in the name for a reason). Not every apartment has terrace access, but if you can snag one, do it — there’s something magical about having your morning coffee while looking out over the rooftops and canals below.

Practical Perks

What I didn’t expect was how well-equipped the kitchenette areas are in some units. You know what’s great about that? You can actually store those expensive Italian wines you’ll inevitably buy, plus having a fridge means you can grab fresh ingredients from the Rialto market and not feel completely dependent on restaurant meals (though Venice has plenty of those worth trying). The staff here really knows their stuff too — they’ll point you toward the good bacari that tourists haven’t discovered yet, which is worth its weight in gold.

Why Guests Love It

The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here. Couples especially seem to fall for this place, and I get it — there’s something inherently romantic about having your own little Venetian hideaway. The combination of being in an authentic neighborhood while still having easy access to the major sights is pretty much the sweet spot for Venice accommodations. Plus, and this might sound small, but the Wi-Fi actually works reliably, which isn’t always a given in these historic buildings. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Venice, not just visiting it.

  Location was good. Large and modern appartment with elevator. 3 very nice terraces and two with fantastic view. All needed equipment was there ( mashing mascine, dishwasher, ironing possible). We Got Lots of good tips and tricks for Venice from the owner at arrival.
  
  What could be improved: There was renovation work going on all days we were there. They started quite early om the morning and we could not use one of the terrasses during the day because of noise.

  The apartment is fantastic! As nice or nicer than the pictures. The host is great. Very helpful and very prompt in returning messages and texts. Met us at the vaporetto and helped get us settled in. Had a wealth of information and even had suggestions for lunch and dinner every day. The apartment is in a very quiet section of Venice and near to shopping and restaurants. Apartment had an elevator which is very nice. Would go back any time

  very nice apartment in the heart of Venice. everything was simply perfect, the rooftop terrace, the balcony in front of the dinner table, the elevator and Emanuele, who was super helpful before and during our trip. we had beautiful 4 days and will definitely come back.

  Super Lage, alles fussläufig oder über die naheliegende Vaporettostation erreichbar. Ausstattung, Sauberkeit alles bestens, aber vor allem die Terrassen sind toll, waren jeden Abend auf der Dachterrasse und haben bei einem Glas Prosecco die Ruhe und den Blick auf das nächtliche Venedig genossen. Unser Vermieter hat uns gute Tips gegeben und war bei einem kleinen Problem sofort zur Stelle. Danke!

  Amazing stay, everything was perfect. Owner was incredibly responsive and helpful. The apartment is huge, well-appointed and beautiful. The location was convenient and close to transportation, yet far enough away from the tourist areas of Venice to be calm and quiet late at night and early in the morning. Great option for families. Loved this property, would definitely stay again!

  Großzügige, bestens ausgestattete Wohnung in zentraler Lage. Hier hat alles perfekt gepasst: ein sehr freundlicher Vermieter, der bereits im Vorfeld viele hilfreiche Informationen zur Anreise bereitgehalten und dann am vereinbarten Treffpunkt (Vaporetto-Station) auf uns gewartet hat. Er hat uns detaillierte Auskünfte zu allem gegeben, was wir wissen wollten, und auch mit guten Restaurant-Tipps aufgewartet.
  Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich im obersten Stockwerk eines Hauses bei San Stae; sie weist geräumige Zimmer auf und bietet drei (!) Terrassen: eine in Verbindung mit einem der drei Schlafzimmer, eine direkt am Esszimmer und eine auf dem Dach. Letztere ermöglicht grandiose Blicke über Venedig und wird ausschließlich von den Mietern der Ferienwohnung genutzt. Die Küche ist komplett, neu und und hochwertig ausgestattet; Verbrauchsmittel wie Spülmaschinen- und Waschmaschinen-Tabs sind in großzügigen Mengen vorhanden. Die Betten in den Schlafzimmern sind bequem; die Lage ist sehr ruhig, sodass auch von diesem Aspekt her beste Erholung gewährleistet ist. Dass die gesamte Ferienwohnung blitzsauber und bestens gepflegt ist, will ich auch erwähnen, ebenso, dass der Aufzug direkt in die Wohnung führt.
  Für das Besuchen der zahlreichen Sehenswürdigkeiten Venedigs liegt die Wohnung geradezu ideal, da sie nur wenige Geh- oder Vaporetto-Minuten von allem entfernt ist, was den Reiz dieser einzigartigen Stadt ausmacht. Hier werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder anfragen, wenn ich wieder zu Gast in Venedig bin, denn hier habe ich mich rundum wohlgefühlt.
