Ca Montegrappa Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Ca Montegrappa, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical Venetian tourist trap. The three-star property sits quietly on Via Montegrappa, and honestly, that’s part of its charm — it feels like you’ve stumbled onto something the locals might actually recommend. The building has that understated Venetian elegance without trying too hard, and the entrance gives you just enough of a preview of what’s waiting inside without overwhelming you with marble and chandeliers.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re actually in Venice, not stuck on some tourist island feeling disconnected from everything. The location really delivers on those “highly rated by recent guests” reviews you’ll see online. You can walk to the main attractions without feeling like you need a GPS and a prayer, but you’re also tucked away enough that you won’t be fighting crowds every time you step outside. I mean, couples rate this place particularly well for romantic getaways, and after spending time in the neighborhood, I totally get why. There’s something about being able to slip away from the madness but still be part of the city that just works.
The Rooms
The accommodations strike that sweet spot between comfortable and charming without breaking the bank. You know what impressed me most? The attention to details that actually matter — good lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and windows that open properly (trust me, this isn’t always a given in Venice). The rooms feel authentically Venetian without being museum pieces you’re afraid to touch. Sure, it’s not going to blow you away with high-end finishes, but everything feels well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged.
The Neighborhood Experience
What really sets Ca Montegrappa apart is how it connects you to actual Venetian life. The surrounding streets have that perfect mix of local cafes where you can grab a proper espresso and small shops that aren’t entirely focused on selling gondola keychains. You’ll find yourself walking past locals heading to work, which sounds simple but actually makes such a difference in how the city feels. The area comes alive in the evenings too — not with rowdy tourist bars, but with the kind of gentle buzz that makes you want to wander and explore.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.1 rating really reflects what you experience here — solid, reliable, and genuinely pleasant without any major surprises (good or bad). Couples especially seem to appreciate how the hotel manages to feel intimate and romantic while still being practical for exploring Venice. It’s the kind of place where you can have a genuine Venetian experience without constantly worrying about your budget or feeling like you’re missing out on something better. You’ll leave feeling like you discovered something rather than just stayed somewhere, which honestly is exactly what you want from a Venice hotel.
Hotels in Venice perch on Grand Canal bends, quiet sestieri, and private lagoon islands.

Reviews of Ca Montegrappa
Cristal from Mexico – 1 April 2025 (7/10)
Aena from Cyprus – 24 March 2025 (8/10)

The property was nice and clean and the host was very helpful and good at communication.
What could be improved: The walls are pretty thin and you can hear other tenants in the other rooms.Marta from Spain – 20 March 2025 (8/10)

La pulizia è la disponibilità del proprietario
What could be improved: Non c’è la televisione e purtroppo la maleducazione dei vicini di stanza che hanno riso e schiamazzato praticamente tutta la notte non facendomi chiudere occhioFrancesca from Italy – 27 February 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Le camere sono troppo vicine e si sentono i rumoriAnamaria from Italy – 19 February 2025 (9/10)
La stanza era molto accogliente e calda quanto pulita, zona tranquilla abbastanza vicina alla stazione e non solo
What could be improved: Il bagno era privato ed avevamo la chiave, purtroppo però era fuori dalla stanza
