Ca’ Piasentin Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow streets of Cannaregio to find Ca’ Piasentin, you know you’re onto something special. This three-star gem sits tucked away in one of Venice’s most authentic neighborhoods, far from the tourist chaos around San Marco but still incredibly well-connected. The building itself has that weathered Venetian charm — you can tell it’s been lovingly maintained without losing its character. Honestly, the 9.6 rating makes perfect sense once you step inside.
The Cannaregio Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re actually living like a Venetian for a few days. The Cannaregio district feels real in a way that other parts of Venice just don’t anymore. You’ve got local bacari (wine bars) within walking distance, the Jewish Quarter’s fascinating history right around the corner, and the train station is close enough that you won’t be dragging luggage across endless bridges. Couples especially seem to get this — they’ve rated the location 9.7, and I mean, when you’re strolling these quieter canals at sunset, you’ll understand why.
Your Home Base
The room I stayed in had that perfect balance of Venetian character and modern comfort. You know what struck me? The attention to detail — everything felt thoughtfully chosen rather than just thrown together. The space maximizes every inch (which matters in Venice, trust me), and the windows actually open to let in that canal breeze. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I appreciate in a three-star property. The apartment layout flows naturally, with clever storage solutions that don’t clutter the aesthetic.
Getting Around Venice
From Ca’ Piasentin, you can walk to the Rialto Bridge in about fifteen minutes, and San Marco is maybe twenty-five minutes on foot — but honestly, half the fun is getting lost in the maze of streets along the way. The nearest vaporetto stop connects you to everywhere else you’d want to go, including Murano and Burano if you’re doing the island-hopping thing. What’s brilliant is that you can escape back to this quieter corner when the day-tripper crowds become too much. The location offers genuine convenience without feeling overdeveloped.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something refreshing about a place that knows exactly what it is. Ca’ Piasentin isn’t trying to compete with the grand palazzos along the Grand Canal — instead, it’s offering something arguably better: an authentic Venice experience without the tourist markup. The staff clearly takes pride in the property, and it shows in those small touches that make a stay memorable rather than just functional. For the price point, you’re getting incredible value in one of Europe’s most expensive cities. You’ll have stories about “your neighborhood” rather than just another hotel stay. The welcoming atmosphere makes returning guests feel like they’re coming home.

Lorenzo was very informative and helpful. He's assisted us with everything we've inquired for.
What could be improved: A change of towels would've been nice. We've spent three nights in Venice.Aleksandra from United Kingdom – 31 March 2025 (10/10)
Convenient location and incredibly helpful and friendly host. The place itself has everything you need.
Svetlana from Germany – 25 March 2025 (10/10)
I really enjoyed my stay here. I was traveling with my mom, and she was happy too! The room was very warm, cozy, and spacious. There’s a wonderful kitchen where you can cook various dishes using ingredients you can buy nearby – and everything is aesthetically pleasing. There’s public water transport, supermarkets, and restaurants close by. I highly recommend this place. Special thanks to Lorenzo and Noemi.

Kt from Estonia – 21 January 2025 (10/10)
A short walk or vaporetto ride from the bus/train station, in a more quiet area, but near enough restaurants, bars and centre. Very clean room, comfy bed, smart locks to get in. The floor may be cold in winter, best be prepared.
Kristian from Australia – 12 January 2025 (10/10)
Very clean, big and modern. Great area.
What could be improved: Slightly noisy early in the morning with motor boats in the canal next door – I don’t think this is easily avoidable in Venice however.
Blue light in the bathroom that couldn’t be turned off during the night leaked through the gap under the door and was annoying – had to stick a towel under the door to get to sleep.William from Australia – 5 January 2025 (10/10)
Everything was perfect!

Being greeted when we arrived and farewelled when we left. Lorenzo is a great host.
Jagruti from India – 22 July 2024 (10/10)
The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the location was top notch within just a minute's walk to the vaporetto stop. Made for a great base location to explore Venice! Lorenzo was a gracious host and made us feel very welcome.
