Ca’ Soderini Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Ca’ Soderini feels like discovering a well-kept secret tucked away in Venice’s Castello district. The three-star property sits on Campo Bandiera e Moro, and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot — it’s got that perfect balance of being authentically Venetian without the tourist chaos you’ll find around San Marco. The building itself has that understated elegance that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon something special, not just another hotel.

Location Magic

Here’s what I love about this area — you’re actually living like a local. The campo (that’s the square, for those new to Venice) has a genuine neighborhood feel with a few cafes where you’ll see the same faces each morning. You’re close enough to walk to the major sights, but far enough away that you can escape the crowds when you need to breathe. The location score of 9.8 isn’t just numbers on a page — couples especially seem to get it, rating the spot 9.6 for romantic getaways, and I can see why. There’s something intimate about wandering these quieter canals at sunset.

The Venetian Experience

What strikes me about Ca’ Soderini is how it manages to feel authentically Venetian without trying too hard. The interiors respect the building’s history while giving you modern comfort — you know, the kind of place where you’re not afraid to touch anything but still feel transported. The rooms have character without being fussy, and there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in Venice). The windows often overlook the campo or nearby canals, giving you those postcard moments without the postcard prices.

Neighborhood Discoveries

Being in Castello means you’re in one of Venice’s most livable sestieri, and that makes all the difference. There’s a fantastic bacaro (wine bar) just around the corner where locals actually drink — not just tourists taking photos of their spritz. The morning walk to grab coffee becomes part of your routine, and you’ll find yourself nodding hello to shopkeepers by day three. It’s also worth mentioning that you’re walking distance from the Arsenale and the Biennale gardens, which gives you cultural options beyond the obvious tourist trail.

Why Guests Love It

The 9.2 rating tells the real story here — people leave Ca’ Soderini feeling like they experienced the Venice they came looking for. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on what matters: a genuine location, comfortable rooms, and that feeling of being a temporary Venetian rather than just another tourist. The staff seems to understand this too — they’re helpful without being hovering, knowledgeable about the neighborhood in ways that actually matter. For the price point, you’re getting something that feels much more valuable than just a place to sleep.

Hotel in Venice reservations spike before Redentore fireworks when the lagoon fills with floating dinners.

Reviews of Ca’ Soderini

  • Mariette from France – 18 March 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Les aménagements intérieurs du studio sont pauvres, blancs et froids.

  • Christoph from Germany – 5 March 2025 (10/10)

Danke!

  • Maria from Italy – 3 October 2024 (9/10)

  • Cesare from Italy – 18 September 2024 (10/10)

Posizione meravigliosa e dimora storica e vicinissima a tutto!!!

What could be improved: Ecco magari 2 bottigliette picole d'acqua in frigo, in segno di ospitalità le avrei lasciate😂

  • Robert from Slovakia – 19 August 2024 (10/10)

Marca.
Balkón, kde sme si mohli vychutnať víno. Plne vybavená kuchyňa.

  • Alexander from Austria – 7 July 2024 (10/10)

Roberta is a very kind host! The apartment is located on a tranquil square just in the middle of the Marcus Square and the Biennale (Giardini & Arsenale). Would definitely book again if available.

  • Philipp from Germany – 23 June 2024 (8/10)

Die zentrale Lage und die Tipps/Erreichbarkeit der Gastgeberin.

What could be improved: Anstatt Bett ist nur ein Schlafsofa vorhanden. Für Kurztrip ausreichend!

  • Fabian from Germany – 9 May 2024 (9/10)

  • Pietro from Italy – 15 March 2024 (10/10)

Monolocale bellissimo con Vista stupenda. Organizzato molto bene e pulitissimo.

  • Paola from Italy – 13 March 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: Assolutamente nulla.
