This three-star studio sits right along one of those picture-perfect canals that make Venice so magical, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better. I mean, San Polo is where real Venetians still go about their daily business, away from the tourist crowds but close enough that you can easily walk to all the major sights.

The Space Itself

The studio lives up to its cozy promise — it’s compact but thoughtfully designed, with everything you need without feeling cramped. The canal view from the main room is genuinely lovely, especially in the morning when the light hits the water just right. You’ll find a small kitchenette that’s perfect for making coffee or preparing simple meals, which actually saves you quite a bit of money in a city where dining out can get expensive fast. The space feels authentically Venetian with its exposed beams and traditional touches, but it’s been updated with modern conveniences that make your stay comfortable.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying in San Polo — you’re positioned perfectly between the Rialto Bridge and the train station, so getting around is surprisingly easy for Venice. The Rialto Market is just a few minutes’ walk away, and that’s where you’ll want to go for fresh produce and to watch the city wake up. You can reach St. Mark’s Square in about 15 minutes on foot, but you’ll also discover that some of the best bacari (those little wine bars locals frequent) are right in your neighborhood. The vaporetto stops are close by too, which makes day trips to the islands totally doable.

What Makes It Special

The thing about this place is that it strikes that perfect balance between being tourist-friendly and authentically local. You’re staying in a real Venetian building on a working canal — I watched delivery boats and locals going about their business from the window, which gave me a much richer sense of the city than any hotel room ever could. The host clearly knows the area well and provides helpful tips about where to shop, eat, and avoid the crowds. Plus, couples seem to absolutely love this spot (and I can see why — there’s something inherently romantic about having your own little canal-side retreat).

  What could be improved: It has like three doors to enter… which makes it safe but also uncomfortable to enter and exit…The view of the canal is a bit limited… because the window has bars… which makes it safe but doesn’t allow you to maximize the view…does not have delf check in

  Very clean and very modern and stylish . Location was amazing right in the heart of Venice so peaceful at night with no noise at all the owners were very welcoming upon our arrival

  This property was clean, updated, safe area, and had everything we needed. Loved looking out the window and seeing a boat go by. The host was wonderful and provided transportation information on how to get to and from airport, activities to see, and places to eat. The area was in an older part of Venice and away from the crowds. The shops and restaurants were much more affordable and not busy at all compared to the tourist area we visited.

  The house was very today, amazing location away from the bustle of tourists. So lovely to see the gondola go past the window. The staff instructions were great, they helped me with airport information, and hired me a porter to get back to the airport boat. The kitchen was well stocked with basics, the bed was comfy, even left me a bottle of Prosecco and water in the fridge. I would love to come back here again

  The Cozy Studio was the perfect location – its was only a 4 minute walk from the water taxi and it was about 14 minute walk to St Mark's . It was nice and quiet at night. We really enjoyed our stay.

  Location and space was excellent. Friendly staff and really helpful. Would stay again.
  
  What could be improved: The locks on the doors are tricky and we wasted about an hour over two days just spending time trying to get in! The host was lovely and video called to help us in but it did let it down.
