  Great location on the water was amazing! Everything was clean and well looked after. Felt very part of the Venice culture.
  
  What could be improved: Not ALOT of kitchen utensils and things to use. Would have loved more stuff like toaster, normal coffee cups, normal sharp big knife NOT bread knife to cut with. Cooking pans are old and not in great condition. Also the biggest one is not big enough.

  Localisation is amazing, near to shops and city centre. I loved view for canal. Kitchen is well equipped. The owner is very helpful, answers the phone and responds quickly to messages. The value for money is very good.

  The area is great, the view to a channel was nice. Clean and quiet place.
  
  What could be improved: The smell in the bedroom was horrible and impossible to get rid of.

  The location was pretty great – not right in the city center but pretty close. A nice 15-20 minute walk from most attractions, or a short vaporetto ride away. Close to good restaurants and markets. The view of the canal from the apartment is amazing!
  
  What could be improved: The accommodation is very bare bones. No toiletries aside from a small amount of hand soap. The furniture is very old and dorm room-esque. The walls are peeling and the place could use a good deep clean. But it’s fine for a short stay. Many reviews mention the dark entryway and staircase – there is a light! There is a switch when you first enter the building on the left as well as one inside the apartment that you can switch on prior to leaving. It would be nice if the host put together a welcome packet with this information as well as where to dispose of trash, the WiFi info, local information, etc.

  The location was great as it's completely away from the craziness of Venice. It was quiet, peaceful and had a window view of the canal. It was easy to get in to the centre of Venice.
  
  What could be improved: You really understand that this is just a property for guests, and as such there are no frills and anything exciting or comfortable about the place. The furniture seems clunky and sadly it needs some TLC in the property. Several guests have mentioned that the hallway, stairs and communal space is dark with no light – and it's true. You'd need a torch to find your way.
  
  When we arrived we had no hot water and I contacted the host to ask for help. She replied with a picture of a switch above the washing machine saying 'boiler' and that it needs to be turned on for it to heat the water and that we 'must've turned it off'. We hadn't, but also the marking 'boiler' in pen had been rubbed off so we had no idea. When we figured out we needed to turn it on [after it being turned off by someone else] I asked the host how long it would take to heat up, and she never responded, and that was the end of our communication.
  
  It would really benefit from having a 'check-in instructions' sheet on arrival, telling guests the need to knows, such as the boiler, how to access the WiFi, and other useful information, but you really feel as though its being flogged as a bed and that's it.
  
  It could be great, but sadly its just 'okay'.

  The apartment is located a short walk from the Grand Canal and Giardini. The area is not overrun with tourists and nearby restaurants are reasonably priced.
  
  What could be improved: The corridor to the apartment has no lighting, which makes climbing stairs quite dangerous, even in daytime. While functional and clean, the apartment could use some new furniture and a sense of aesthetics.

  What could be improved: The kitchen table is unconformable to work from, there is not a lot of light coming in. It was very humid and cold no matter the heater being on.

  For a short trip, flat is OK. Everything you need was there, for a quick meal or dine in.
  
  What could be improved: Description of how to get to the flat and where the key was deposited, as mit pictures would have been better. We arrived late in the evening and it was too dark to see the flat number and found out how to get the key from the key safe.
  Winter sheets would have been appreciated.
