Home Venice Apartments – Biennale 1 – 2 – 3 Overview

First Impressions

Walking down Calle de la Ancore in Castello, you’ll find Home Venice Apartments – Biennale 1 – 2 – 3 tucked away in what honestly feels like one of Venice‘s best-kept secrets. This three-star property sits right in the heart of the Castello district — and I mean right where you want to be if you’re planning to explore the real Venice beyond the tourist crowds. The building itself has that authentic Venetian charm without trying too hard, you know what I mean?

The Perfect Castello Location

Here’s the thing about this location — it’s actually brilliant. You’re close enough to San Marco that you can walk there in minutes, but far enough away that you won’t be dealing with the constant stream of day-trippers. The Biennale gardens are practically on your doorstep, which is perfect if you’re visiting during the art exhibitions. I’ve stayed in this area before, and there’s something special about being able to grab morning coffee at the local bars where you’ll hear more Italian than English. The vaporetto stops are easy to reach, but honestly, you’ll probably end up walking everywhere because the neighborhood is just that pleasant to wander through.

The Apartment Experience

What sets this place apart is that you’re getting a proper apartment rather than just a hotel room. Each unit comes with its own kitchen, which — let me tell you — is a game-changer when you want to prepare a simple breakfast or store those amazing cheeses you picked up at the Rialto market. The apartments are numbered 1, 2, and 3, and while I can’t say they’re massive (this is Venice, after all), they’re thoughtfully designed with everything you actually need. The furnishings feel contemporary but not sterile, and there’s enough space to spread out your things without living out of a suitcase.

What Makes It Work

The 8.8 rating really shows once you settle in. The property management is responsive without being intrusive, and they clearly understand what travelers need. You’ll have reliable Wi-Fi, proper heating (crucial if you’re visiting in winter), and those little touches that make the difference between a place to sleep and a place to actually relax. The parking situation is what you’d expect in Venice — basically nonexistent — but that’s true everywhere in the historic center, so don’t let that worry you.

Why Guests Love It

Couples especially seem drawn to this spot, and I get why — there’s something romantic about having your own little Venetian hideaway in Castello. The area has this perfect balance where you can duck into a neighborhood restaurant for dinner (try the places along Via Garibaldi) or venture out to the bigger attractions when the mood strikes. You’re getting authentic Venice living without sacrificing access to everything you came to see. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Venice trip before you’ve even left.

Reviews of Home Venice Apartments – Biennale 1 – 2 – 3

  • Maris from Latvia – 17 March 2025 (9/10)

A thoughtfully equipped apartment in a historic Venetian house. I truly appreciated the chance to stay in such a unique and historically rich setting.

    What could be improved: –

  • Denise from United States – 3 January 2025 (9/10)

Excellent location, loved the neighborhood, close to boat docks, lots of places to eat, groceries, and an excellent pastry shop at the end of the street. Very nice and responsive hosts. The apartment was clean and nicely furnished. Quiet at night. Comfy bed. Kitchen and outdoor deck was a plus.

What could be improved: The amount of stairs were a bit of a surprise, as was the tall tub which took effort to get into/out of for our mobility ability. It would be helpful to potential guests to list each of the 3 apartments separately with photos of just that apartment to understand which you are renting.

  • Zahraddeen from United Kingdom – 29 December 2024 (9/10)

Bed is very comfortable, kitchen has all the stuff required if you want to cook. Internet works well.

What could be improved: All good

  • Гергана from Bulgaria – 15 October 2024 (9/10)

This was my family's first visit to Italy, and I am overjoyed that their first memories will be of Venice and this comfortable apartment near the Vapporetto stops near San Marco and Biennale Park. By shuttle, we are 10 minutes from the Lido Island of Venice with its fine sandy beach. Thank you Luca for your helpfulness and hospitality! We will be back.

  • Manuel from Canada – 16 September 2024 (9/10)

Great location, easy to find and getting about. Area was quiet and close to everything.

  • Norman from United Kingdom – 14 August 2024 (9/10)

Everything! The property was in the perfect location and the hosts were amazing . Great to be in one of the last true Venetian areas in Venice . Full of local shops and restaurants and very friendly people .

What could be improved: Everything! It was perfect for our little family trip . Everything we could ever have needed . Great AC as well , especially visiting in July

  • Ana from Ireland – 29 May 2024 (9/10)

The apartment is clean and very well located. It is easy to access the main attractions in Venice from there.

What could be improved: There was not hot water and to restart the boiler. Apart from that, everything was great.

  • Stefano from United Kingdom – 17 May 2024 (9/10)

Good and safe location, approximately 15 minutes on foot away from Piazza San Marco.
The apartment is cozy, quiet and clean.
Warm welcome from the host, basic supplies provided and gave advice on transportation, some things to do and where to eat.

What could be improved: The shower door is not completely sealed causing some leakage on the bathroom floor.

  • Yang from United Kingdom – 13 April 2024 (9/10)

This apartment has everything you need on a vacation? Good location close to restaurants, supermarket and st Marco square, well equipped kitchen, roof top terrace, clean and comfortable beds. We are very happy with our stay here.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Alina from Lithuania – 11 August 2023 (9/10)

The host was very kind and helpful. I had like a 100 questions about everything and especially the transportation in Venice and got answers to all of them. And we were coming really late, but the host still waited for us and greeted us. We had two apartments and they were as expected – clean, comfortable, cozy, with a kitchen with all the utensils you could need, also coffee maker, coffee and tea.
