The Space Itself

The room I stayed in had that perfect balance of historic Venetian character and modern comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find. You know what struck me? The attention to detail — original wooden beams overhead, but also proper lighting for actually reading at night. The bathroom was compact but well-designed (this is Venice, after all, where space is precious), and everything felt thoughtfully renovated rather than just slapped together.

Neighborhood Life

Mornings here are something else entirely. You’ll wake up to the sound of delivery boats rather than tour groups, and there’s this little bakery two streets over where the locals grab their cornetti — I stumbled across it by accident and ended up going back every day. The Fondamenta delle Zattere is perfect for evening walks, and honestly, some of the best cicchetti spots in the city are within a few blocks.

It’s the kind of area where you start to feel like you’re living in Venice rather than just visiting it. The slower pace and genuine local culture make every moment feel more meaningful and connected to the true spirit of the city.

  The location of the apartment was very good and easy to find. The host, Valentina, was very friendly, and we were able to check out late because the apartment was not booked for the next guest. The apartment was very clean, modern, pleasantly warm, and very quiet during our stay. There is no view from the apartment windows, but that was not a problem for us because we spent the whole day outside.

  Great Location, very clean and spacious! Modern, primo piano 🤪 and Valentina our host was so helpful, she made us some suggestions for some great places to eat . She also helped us with a place to leave our luggage for the last day, for free. The bathroom was clean and had everything one might need. We also had a new kitchen but we didn’t use it.
