Molino Stucky Residence Suites II Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Molino Stucky Residence Suites II, you immediately sense you’re somewhere special on Giudecca island. This three-star property sits right on Fondamenta San Biagio, and honestly, the waterfront setting feels almost too good to be true for the price point. The building has that understated Venetian charm — not flashy, but you know there’s something authentic about it. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.5 out of 10, they’re clearly onto something here.
The Giudecca Advantage
Here’s what most tourists don’t realize about staying on Giudecca — you get all the magic of Venice without the crushing crowds that hit San Marco every morning. The vaporetto ride across to the main island takes maybe five minutes, but it feels like you’re commuting from your own private Venice. From the residence, you can actually see the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s across the water, which is pretty incredible when you’re sipping coffee in the morning. The neighborhood itself is refreshingly local, with actual Venetians going about their daily lives instead of just endless souvenir shops.
Suite Life
The suites here are what really set this place apart from typical hotel rooms. You’re getting proper apartment-style accommodations with kitchenettes, which honestly saves you a fortune when eating out in Venice gets expensive (and it will). The spaces feel genuinely livable rather than just somewhere to crash between sightseeing. Most units have those tall Venetian windows that flood the rooms with light, and some offer glimpses of the lagoon. The furnishings are modern but not sterile — they’ve managed to keep some character while making everything functional for longer stays.
Getting Around
The vaporetto stop is literally right there, which makes island-hopping ridiculously easy. You can be at Piazza San Marco in under ten minutes, or head to Murano and Burano for day trips without any hassle. What I really appreciated was having quick access to both the touristy bits and the quieter residential areas of Venice. Late at night, when the day-trippers have all gone home, you get this peaceful return journey across the water that feels almost cinematic. The location score of 9.2 isn’t just marketing speak — it’s genuinely one of those spots where everything just works.
Why Guests Love It
This place hits that sweet spot between authentic Venice living and tourist accessibility. You’re not paying five-star prices, but you’re getting an experience that feels more genuine than most hotels in the historic center. The fact that it’s consistently rated 8.3 tells you something about the reliability factor — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Venice, but it delivers on what it promises. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about having your own little Venetian apartment with lagoon views, even if it’s just for a few nights. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re living in Venice rather than just visiting it.
Venice’s hotels pair butlered gondolas, Murano chandeliers, and concierge-led lagoon hops.

The representative Michele is outstanding!!!! He responds to our requests very promptly and always there for us!!! He is the best!!!
What could be improved: Price is too high.. kitchen utensils are not enough.bathroom soaps and shampoos etc are not equipped enough.Joanne from Canada – 23 October 2023 (9/10)
It was beautiful, new and clean. It was also well stocked with all the supplies we needed. The host was extremely helpful. On the day I checked in there was a transportation strike which affected the waterbuses. It was much more complicated to get to the apartment but my host helped me through it. My host also gave me useful information about restaurants and other amenities. Overall our stay was excellent.
What could be improved: NothingHey from Greece – 21 September 2023 (8/10)
The location was beautiful and very sweet because you could see the Venice from high ground and in the same time you could relax just watching the vaporettos coming back and forth with the extreme noise of the center.
What could be improved: I didn't like the fact that you need to take the trash out while checking out but I can live with thatKathleen from Switzerland – 10 September 2023 (8/10)
It is a lovely apartment with a beautiful view
What could be improved: Could have been cleaner. Missing details : bathroom sink drain didn’t work, burnt out light bulbs, dusty. For 300.00 chf per night, certain things have to be right.Antonio from Spain – 28 August 2023 (9/10)
Great support from the guest.. supportive, professional, and effective. Thanks, Michele !!
Roomy apartment well oriented to Giudecca Canal.
What could be improved: A/C struggles with summer hot days at midday, but still enough.Yulia from Russia – 12 June 2023 (7/10)
Great view from windows to see water landscape and boats of Venice, very big clean apartment, all necessary things available ( including microwave, iron, air conditioning, aid against mosquitoes, comfortable beds, good wi-fi connection). Nice safe quite location outside too many tourists. Not noisy at all. Good welcome and assistance from Michele, who was always available to help via whats app
What could be improved: Need to pay extra money 40 euro for arrival around 8 pm. After check out there is absolutely no place ( although apartment is very big and even have storage room) to leave luggage at no cost. Advice was provided to go to Piazalle Roma and use paid storage to cost you around 30-40 euro, depending of quantity of luggageLloyd from United States – 26 April 2023 (8/10)
Excellent location. Very clean. Great architecture. Quiet and calm atmosphere on Giudecca.
What could be improved: For longer stays (such as ours for 9 days) a change of towels and bedding would have been nice.Lee from United Kingdom – 16 April 2023 (9/10)
The views were sensational. Ideal location to visit all islands as transport links short walk. Local amenities with great bars/restaurants nearby. Michelle was brilliant- very helpful and always at the end of the phone if needed.
What could be improved: The only drawback was the bed mattress was very hard- that is the only reason a 9/10 and not a 10/10.
