Residenza Cuor de Rialto Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow streets of San Polo to reach Residenza Cuor de Rialto, you’ll probably wonder if you’re going the right way — the entrance is tucked away like a local secret. But that’s exactly what makes this three-star property so charming. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special rather than just checking into another tourist hotel. The building itself has that weathered Venetian elegance that you can’t fake, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried.
Prime San Polo Position
Here’s what I love about staying in San Polo — you’re literally in the heart of Venice without the crushing crowds of San Marco. The Rialto Bridge is practically on your doorstep (hence the name), which means you can pop over to the fish market in the morning or cross to the other side for dinner without planning your whole day around it. I mean, couples rate the location 9.1 out of 10, and after staying here, I get why. You’re close enough to everything that matters but tucked away on a quiet street where you can actually hear yourself think.
The Accommodation Experience
The room I stayed in had that perfect balance of Venetian character and modern comfort — you know, old wooden beams overhead but a bathroom that actually works properly. The space felt intimate rather than cramped, which is saying something for Venice where every square meter costs a fortune. What struck me most was how quiet it was at night, despite being so central. The windows are well-insulated, and the street below doesn’t get the foot traffic of the main tourist routes.
Local Neighborhood Gems
One thing you’ll notice staying here is how quickly you start feeling like a temporary local rather than just another tourist. There’s a fantastic bacaro (that’s a Venetian wine bar, by the way) just around the corner where the staff will remember your order by the third day. The morning walk to grab coffee takes you past actual Venetians going about their daily business — it’s refreshing after all the souvenir shops elsewhere. Plus, you’re perfectly positioned to explore both the Rialto area and make easy trips to Dorsoduro or Castello without feeling like you’re trekking across the city.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is that excellent location score of 9.2 — and trust me, in Venice, location is everything. You’re not paying five-star prices but you’re getting that insider’s access to the city that money usually can’t buy. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work, offering tips about which water bus to take or when to visit certain attractions to avoid crowds. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Venice trip before you’ve even checked out, already knowing exactly where you want to stay.

Reviews of Residenza Cuor de Rialto

This apartment is in a great location. Close to a supermarket, good restaurants, short stroll to Rialto Bridge and the fish market and Grand Canal are a few steps away. Reasonably quiet in the evenings but most places walkable from the location. Loved having a washing machine which always a bonus when travelling.
What could be improved: The location can get a but noisy and you feel very close to passersby, so if this is a concern it may not be the most ideal spot but if you want to hear people chatting away and feel a part of the city, than this is great.Jame from United States – 30 September 2024 (9/10)
I loved the location. It was the perfect distance from the train and other touristic activities. Unit was clean and well lit.

Central location close to the vaporetto stop, clean and comfortable bedroom, good size living room with washing machine. Not cheap, but a fair price for Venice.
What could be improved: Not much privacy in the living room as it's right next to and just above a busy bridge and restaurant, however we had no issues with noise in the bedroom thanks to the heavy windows and shutters. There was no drying rack or clothespins to use with the line outside the bathroom, and when I contacted the host they insisted that there was one there for hours before offering to bring clothespins by the next day. This was obviously not an emergency (we just hung our drying clothes on hangers and chairs) but I hope they are more responsive in serious situations.Jennifer from United States – 11 October 2022 (9/10)
Fantastic location! Nice big apartment, very friendly and helpful staff.
What could be improved: Fairly noisy, and a broken toilet seat. Used soap packets in the shower.Philipp from Germany – 10 July 2022 (9/10)
perfect location. well equipped apartment. super service from the staff.
Imbi from Estonia – 3 July 2022 (8/10)
The apartment is cozy and very well located – all attractions are within walking distance. Nightlife didn't bother us.
What could be improved: I missed the items in the kitchen – a toaster, a more modern kettle, a microwave, a frying pan.
Taking a shower takes time – the water is sometimes cold, then warm again.
You can do laundry in the apartment, but there is no iron.Favio from Argentina – 2 July 2022 (9/10)
The location, apartment size and that it’s a typical Venice apartment
What could be improved: Given its popular location, it can be a little noisyPetra from Netherlands – 13 May 2022 (8/10)
great location, easy remote checkin, nice apartment. Fishmarket and vaporreti around the corner, Rialto 5 min away.
What could be improved: just be aware it is central and gets a little loud, take some earplugs. We missed some things in the kitchen, but overall for a citytrip a great place to stayNicolos from Luxembourg – 10 May 2022 (8/10)
Perfect position close to all the amenitites, comfortable beds and generally speaking big and comfortable apartment.
What could be improved: a bit loud at night and early in the morningErica from Australia – 27 April 2022 (8/10)
Great location for a first visit to Venice – excellent communication & easy to access. Everywhere is in walking distance – comfy shoes a good idea.
Apartment is spacious & comfortable
(Due to the location there is people noise)
What could be improved: Kettle didn’t work, no tea towel, no clothes airer (we chose the apartment for the washing machine)
