Hotel Description
I remember stepping off the vaporetto at the Palanca stop on Giudecca – you know, that long, skinny island across the lagoon from the main hustle of Venice – and thinking, wow, this is what escaping the tourist crush feels like. The Venetian Mood private apartment is tucked away at Isola della Giudecca 239, right in the heart of the Giudecca neighborhood, which honestly feels more like a local’s secret than the postcard spots over in San Marco. I mean, it’s not flashy or anything – no grand lobby with chandeliers – but that’s kind of the charm. You buzz in through a nondescript door on a quiet canal-side street, and suddenly you’re in this cozy, four-star setup that feels like someone’s stylish Venetian pied-à-terre. The check-in was super low-key; the host met me with keys and a quick rundown (in decent English, thankfully), and there I was, unpacking in a space with high ceilings, exposed beams, and these big windows overlooking the water. Oh, and the smell – that faint, briny lagoon air mixed with whatever pasta sauce was simmering from a neighbor’s kitchen nearby. It’s the kind of place where you actually hear church bells from the Redentore across the way instead of selfie-stick crowds.
What really hooked me was how it nails that balance between old-world Venice and stuff you actually need on a trip. The apartment’s got a full kitchen – well, more like a kitchenette, but with a proper stove and fridge, which saved me a fortune on eating out every meal. I whipped up some simple risotto one night using goodies from the little market on Fondamenta San Giacomo, just a five-minute stroll away. The bedroom’s comfy, with linens that aren’t scratchy (a pet peeve of mine in rentals), and there’s even a small balcony where I sipped morning coffee watching the boats chug by – views straight to the Dorsoduro side, if you crane your neck. It’s rated an 8.7 for a reason; everything’s clean and functional, though fair warning, the Wi-Fi can be spotty during peak hours, like when everyone’s streaming after dinner. Noise-wise, it’s blissfully quiet compared to the centro storico – no late-night revelers stumbling by – but if you’re here in July for the Festa del Redentore fireworks, it turns into prime viewing territory right from your window. Parking? Ha, forget it; this is Venice, so leave the car in Mestre and embrace the water taxis or walks. I did notice the bathroom’s a tad compact – sort of squeezes you in if you’re tall like me – but hey, that’s authentic Italian efficiency for you.
All in all, if you’re the type who wants Venice without the overwhelm, this spot’s a gem. It’s not for those craving hotel perks like room service or a pool (there isn’t one), but for sinking into the real rhythm of the city – maybe wandering to Harry’s Dolci for a gelato or hopping the vaporetto to Piazza San Marco in under 10 minutes – it’s perfect. I left feeling like I’d actually lived there a bit, you know? Book it for shoulder season, like April or October, when the island’s even more serene, and you’ll thank me. Just pack light; those stone steps up to the door aren’t forgiving on heavy suitcases.

Everything was very good. Located in quiet area, 20 minutes to the main square

Very well equipped, cozy, modern, warm apartment with perfect, just perfect location with picturesque view from the window but far away from crowds and noise. There is a supermarket, farmacy, vaporetto station in just several minutes walk from the apartments. And BONUS TIP – IN FRONT OF WATERBUS STATION THERE IS A CAFE WITH CHEEPEST AND THE MOST DELICIOUS SNACKS IN VENICE, AND THE BEST COFFE. IF YOU ARE THERE, PLS GIVE REGARDS TO THE OWNER, HIS NAME IS JOUZEPPE FROM ANNA FROM CYPRUS😉

The apartment was perfect! Just like the photos, everything was clean and arranged, it has all facilities needed! Kateryna was very helpful and kind person, it was easy to contact her on whatsapp, she met me on the pavorete station and walked with me the way to the apartment and gave me guiding tips , fully recommend it !
Garland from United Kingdom – 23 November 2024 (8/10)
The owner personally met us and showed us in and explained how to get around
What could be improved: We had a power cut and couldn’t get hold of anyone and had to fix it myself.
No toaster or oven.
There was a microwave but no instructions on how to use the microwave as an oven so couldn’t cook much, this is why I chose an apartment to cook.Rich from United Kingdom – 21 November 2024 (9/10)

Kateryna was very courteous, received us at waterbus stop and and helped us getting to the property. She also explained details on how to get to nearby places using ferry and lastly was very prompt with all communication. Excellent stay and excellent host. Highly recommended.

What could be improved: It was confusing to find in the first instance since the location of the apartment did not match the map that you supplied on your site. I suggest that you correct it.Huzaifa from United Arab Emirates – 7 August 2024 (9/10)
Excellent property with all facilities.
Clean and big.
What could be improved: Everything was good.Hall from United Kingdom – 20 July 2024 (9/10)
Brilliant location, smart modern flat, peaceful. Just a vaporetto ride away from the crowds with a gorgeous view of the main island from the front door.
What could be improved: The kitchen was very modern, but not well equipped for people who enjoy cooking while on holiday (I realise this will be a minority of guests, but there are two excellent food stores on Giudecca). Things that can be improved are a colendar for draining the pasta, some beer size glasses, a cafetiere (French Press) instead of an old fashioned filter machine, a cloth for wiping down surfaces, don't like to leave it all for the staff.Aydan from Turkey – 20 May 2024 (9/10)
first off all , i would like to thank allessia who was helpful in every matter especially transportation. the rooms were clean and comfortable. it was 13 minute ferry ride to san marco square.
