Venexia House to Rialto Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow streets of San Polo to reach Venexia House to Rialto, you’ll probably pass it once before realizing you’ve arrived — it blends seamlessly into the historic Venetian architecture around it. This three-star property sits right in the heart of one of Venice’s most authentic neighborhoods, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The entrance is understated in that classic Venetian way, but once you step inside, there’s a warmth that immediately tells you this isn’t just another tourist trap hotel.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying in San Polo — you’re literally minutes from the Rialto Bridge, but you’re also surrounded by actual Venetians going about their daily lives. The morning walk to grab coffee means passing tiny workshops where artisans are still making things by hand, and the evening stroll back from dinner takes you through squares where locals gather rather than just tourists snapping photos. Couples especially seem to get this location (they rate it a perfect 10), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about being so central yet feeling like you’ve discovered a secret corner of the city. The property’s location score of 9.6 isn’t just marketing fluff; you really can walk to most major sights while staying somewhere that feels genuinely Venetian.
The Rooms
The accommodations at Venexia House to Rialto strike that sweet spot between authentic character and modern comfort. You know how some Venice hotels either feel like museums or bland modern boxes? This place actually manages to avoid both extremes. The rooms have those details that remind you where you are — exposed beams, traditional Venetian touches — but the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms work properly (which, trust me, isn’t always a given in historic Venice buildings). Some rooms offer glimpses of canal life if you crane your neck just right, though honestly, the location means you’ll spend most of your time exploring rather than hanging around your room anyway.
Getting Around
What really makes this spot work is how connected you feel to the real Venice. The Rialto market is right there for your morning cappuccino ritual, and you can easily walk to San Marco or catch a vaporetto to anywhere else you want to explore. But here’s the thing — after a day of tourist sites, coming back to San Polo feels like returning to a neighborhood rather than just a hotel. You’ll start recognizing the shopkeepers, figuring out which bacaro serves the best cicchetti, and discovering those tiny bridges that don’t appear in guidebooks but somehow become part of your daily routine.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.1 rating reflects what most people discover about Venexia House to Rialto — it delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. This isn’t a upscale property, but it’s a solid three-star hotel in an absolutely prime location that lets you experience Venice like a temporary resident rather than just another tourist. The staff understands that location is everything in Venice, and they’ve clearly chosen their spot well. For travelers who want to be in the thick of things while still having a comfortable, authentic base to return to each night, this place just works.
Venice’s apartments welcome families with vaporetto passes, kitchenettes for market hauls, and bridges leading to Lido playgrounds.

Easy and convenient location. Really well equipped and comfortable.
What could be improved: The door was a bit tricky to open but manageable.Annette from United Kingdom – 4 November 2024 (7/10)
Great location central in Venice.
What could be improved: No proper sitting space for 4 people. There is only a hallway area and one comfortable chair. The other 3 chairs are plastic dining chairs.Horn from United States – 15 July 2024 (8/10)
Francesca, the host, was wonderful! She was helpful during our entire stay. The apartment was a good size for four people.
Burton from United States – 11 July 2024 (8/10)
Spacious apartment easily accommodated the four of us. We used the well-equipped kitchen to prepare several meals.
What could be improved: The air conditioning didn't work all that well. The ground-floor apartment was humid, but it's on the ground floor so it was relatively cool for most of the day.Mathieu from France – 23 August 2023 (9/10)
Our host was really friendly and helpful. She even came to meet us few streets away as we were lost. Really convenient check-in with good informations on the locality and things to do. The apartment is really well situated and confortable. Good aircon (even if we didn't really understood how to shut it down), really good beds and decoration. We would definitely come again.
What could be improved: Few things could proably be enhanced: small gap at the top of the door, a little bit more tableware (E.G. only 3 mugs for 4 people), but nothing that ruinned our experience!Anka from Poland – 8 January 2023 (8/10)
location, very nice host, comfortable beds, silence despite of central position
What could be improved: poor equipment in the kitchen; one good pot to make milk warmer for the coffee would be enough; those which was in kitchen was so bad that we were not able to use it. At the begining of our stay the apartment was very cold (january); No one turned on the heating before arrival, at first night we were not able to bath because of low temperature; but in a few hours it was ok, AC and heating made its workRaieda from Canada – 1 October 2022 (8/10)
Location was fair
What could be improved: If the location was on the other side of the cityKamalpreet from United Kingdom – 4 September 2022 (9/10)
Excellent location and beautiful property
Quinibert from Netherlands – 15 August 2022 (9/10)
2 really nice affordable for 4 person location in the middle of Venice. It was cozy and comfy and the bathroom was small, but had everything in it was clean and modern.
What could be improved: the isolation, in these times you want to see that one takes care of the environment by having good isolating doors and Windows. All other things were modernized.Alex from United States – 27 June 2022 (9/10)
Convenient to water bus stop and Rialto Bridge. Centrally located. Close to many restaurants, grocery and shopping.
What could be improved: Only minor complaints are, no soap to wash hands, no paper towels or napkins, air conditioner was a bit noisy. Need more detailed directions to apartment. Door had no number. If it weren’t for Google maps and the owner calling out to us as we walked past I am not sure we would have found it.
