Hotel Description

Welcome to the exquisite Vintage Venice Apartment, a charming 3-star gem nestled in the heart of Venice’s historic Cannaregio district. This boutique accommodation offers travelers an authentic Venetian experience, combining traditional elegance with modern comfort. With an exceptional guest rating of 9.6, this highly acclaimed establishment has consistently delighted visitors with its attention to detail, personalized service, and idyllic location.

Situated at Cannaregio 4925, this apartment places you in one of Venice’s most characteristic neighborhoods. The Cannaregio district, once home to Tintoretto and the site of the world’s first Jewish Ghetto, offers a perfect blend of historical significance and local Venetian life. Unlike the tourist-heavy San Marco area, Cannaregio presents a more authentic glimpse into daily Venetian culture while still providing easy access to major attractions. From the apartment, guests can enjoy leisurely strolls along the picturesque canals, stopping at traditional bacari (local wine bars) for cicchetti (Venetian tapas) and prosecco. The famous Ca’ d’Oro palace and its remarkable art collection are within walking distance, as is the bustling Strada Nuova with its shops and cafés. The Jewish Ghetto, with its synagogues and Jewish Museum, offers cultural enrichment just minutes away. For those wishing to explore further, the vaporetto water bus stops are conveniently located, providing direct connections to St. Mark’s Square, the Rialto Bridge, and the Grand Canal.

What truly sets the Vintage Venice Apartment apart, as reflected in its outstanding 9.6 rating, is its seamless marriage of historic Venetian architecture with thoughtfully appointed interiors. The apartment preserves original features such as exposed wooden beams, terrazzo flooring, and Venetian plasterwork, while incorporating modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Guests consistently praise the apartment’s cleanliness, comfort, and character in their glowing reviews. The dedicated hosts have earned a reputation for their warm hospitality, offering personalized recommendations for hidden local restaurants, arranging private water taxi services, and providing insider tips that transform a simple visit into an unforgettable Venetian journey. Morning light streams through traditional Venetian windows, inviting guests to start their day with an espresso while planning adventures through the labyrinthine streets and waterways of this incomparable city. As evening falls, return to your tranquil haven, where you can unwind and reflect on the day’s discoveries or prepare for an evening exploration of Venice’s magical nighttime ambiance. • Robin from United States – 22 March 2024 (10/10)

This place exceeded all expectations. The pictures don’t do justice to the size or the grandeur. We really felt like we were staying in a palace. The location is wonderful too with loads of great restaurants and close to vaporetto stops. The bathrooms have been updated nicely and the property had everything we needed.

What could be improved: It was hard to get my family to leave.

  • Peter from United Kingdom – 3 April 2025 (10/10)

This is an enormous, dazzling apartment in a gigantic, historic palazzo, offering an exceptional and unusual experience. It is located in a quiet corner of Venice that is still extremely close to the centre and the big tourist sites. The main "drawback" is that you may not want to leave the apartment… The main rooms are all like museum spaces that are nonetheless for living in. But both bathrooms are clean, modern and very functional, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook at home now and then (recommended, as the Venice markets are so tempting, and then you get to eat in the magnificent dining room!).

What could be improved: There was nothing that really bothered us much, but some people who expect all the perfect amenities of a modern hotel might not like some of the "faded grandeur" of the place (chipped or flaking plaster on parts of the walls, antique furniture that looks amazing but is not always the most comfortable; beds were very comfortable though). For us this was "atmosphere" and part of the experience. But some people may just want everything shiny and new–this would not be for them.

  • Ana from Romania – 21 May 2024 (10/10)

It is in a very quiet area – which is super nice given the crowds of tourists in the central area. Yet it is very close to anything one may target seeing in Venice.
The apartment is in an old palazzo, it is huge (250 sq m) and speaks for Venice – we have had a really immersive experience by staying in it during our first Venice visit. It has the old time perfume, gives you the creeps, has doors everywhere, mystery and magic, has amazing view of the canal in front of it, has a nice story and the old decoration and furniture.
The two bathrooms are though newly fitted, it has heating and all the comfort one needs for a pleasant stay.
It is perfect for two families with kids – it has seven places in six beds.
The housekeeper has told us people are renting it for parties – which is indeed very suitable given its size and very large living rooms (it has three).
Kitchen is very large and fully fitted with dish washer, cooking machine, old furniture but everything one needs. We did not use it given the excellent possibilities for all meals of the day in the immediate vicinity.

What could be improved: For us it was a bit too large – but that is not a problem of the apartment. Or it is rather a luxury problem.

  • Anna from Australia – 1 November 2023 (10/10)

The apartment was spectacular; a heritage apartment with luxury rooms and magnificent views of the canals. The kitchen was huge and fully equipped. The beds were firm and very comfortable. It was located in an area without many tourists. The atmosphere was wonderful. Superb in every way. Thank you most sincerely!!

  • Carbutt from United Kingdom – 18 June 2023 (10/10)

The apartment is spacious, stunning and enhanced the whole Venice experience. The origanal features, paintings, amazing pieces of furniture and art work make this apartment the perfect place for a stay in Venice.
The kitchen was well equipped and there was more than enough cooking and eating utensils.
It is positioned in the perfect spot on the canal close to everything you need but still quiet and peaceful.
Francesca was amazing meeting us on arrival and talking us through what we needed to know and gave us means to communicate with her throughout our stay should we need anything.
This apartment is a definite must for anyone who wants the whole authentic experience of Venice.

What could be improved: Coming home😢😢

  • Megan from France – 9 May 2023 (10/10)

Genuine venetian palazzo with amazing decor but with 21st century bathrooms. Stone balcony over the canal. Still in the ownership of the original family including doges and 14th century explorers: loved the history. Good location, peaceful but within easy reach of the main tourist attractions.

What could be improved: Kitchen facilities acceptable but minimal. Not a problem as there are good places to eat nearby. WiFi patchy.

  • Derek from United Kingdom – 5 May 2022 (10/10)

Everything, Property was awesome, Francesca was extremely helpful, would highly reccomend

  • Bridget from United Kingdom – 4 October 2024 (9/10)

We loved the historic grandeur of the place – so much space! Having said that the bathrooms were modern and hot water was plentiful as were the towels. The beds were comfortable, with lots of options for sleeping arrangements. The kitchen was well equipped, though we ate out most of the time. We did enjoy one meal around the fabulous dining table, under a Murano chandelier. We ate breakfast around the large kitchen table. We loved the big windows and the balcony and we eventually got used to folks going about their day to day activities on the canal early in the morning!

What could be improved: Nothing major at all, just the hot water never really did appear at the kitchen sink but that was easily remedied by using the kettle/hot water from the bathroom. Also just for British 'normal' kitchen ware, an electric kettle and a toaster would have been nice (rather than stove top kettle and grill). But that'd be nitpicking. Everything you needed was included in the apartment.

La superficie, le plongeon dans une époque révolue, le calme ,la réactivité et
    l’ efficacité de l’hôte, M.Oscar.

    What could be improved: RAS

  • Rudolf from Netherlands – 21 September 2024 (9/10)

Prachtig appartement, grotendeels antiek ingericht, past prima bij een verblijf in Venetië.
Twee gloed nieuwe badkamers. Goed uitgeruste keuken.
