The windows opened onto a narrow canal — not the Grand Canal, mind you, but one of those picture-perfect side waterways where you’ll watch residents hanging laundry and the occasional delivery boat puttering by. The beds are genuinely comfortable too, which isn’t always a given in Venice’s historic buildings.

Getting Around

Here’s something the guidebooks don’t always mention — this part of Cannaregio connects you to the rest of Venice without the crushing crowds. The Guglie vaporetto stop is about a seven-minute walk, giving you easy access to the Grand Canal route. But I actually found myself walking most places because the neighborhood itself is so pleasant to wander through. There are proper Venetian bacari (wine bars) within a couple of blocks, and the Rialto Market is close enough for an early morning stroll when the city still belongs to the locals.

  Die Lage des Apartments ist perfekt, nahe zur Rialtobrücke. Ruhige Lage, gemütlich, sauber. Bad hat angenehme Grösse, gute Beleuchtung, Handtücher, zusätzl. Polster, sehr gute Heizung !!, Küche all-inclusive. Vermieter war sehr freundlich. Es gab sogar Prosecco zur Begrüssung. Wir hoffen, wir kommen bald wieder !
