Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in Santa Croce, which means you get the real Venice experience without being stuck in the tourist circus around San Marco. You can actually walk to the train station pretty easily (which is huge when you’re dragging luggage), but you’re also close enough to wander into the quieter campos where you’ll find those little wine bars that don’t have English menus. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re discovering something, you know?

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what I hoped for — clean, comfortable, and with those little Venetian touches that remind you where you are. Nothing overly fancy, but honestly, when you’re spending most of your day exploring the city, you just want a place that feels welcoming when you come back tired. The windows actually open (not a given in many hotels), and if you’re lucky with your room assignment, you might catch glimpses of canal life. The beds are proper comfortable, and the bathrooms are well-maintained — sometimes that’s all you really need.

The breakfast setup really surprised me in the best way. They’ve got this buffet spread that covers pretty much every dietary need you can think of — continental basics, Italian specialties, plus vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. I mean, finding decent vegan options in Venice can be tricky, so having that sorted right at your hotel is actually pretty smart. The Italian coffee is obviously excellent (this is Italy, after all), and they do these little pastries that pair perfectly with your morning cappuccino before you head out to tackle the city.

  We were told that the Ai Due Finali was under renovation as we arrived to check in, so instead we got a room from the sister hotel close by. The room was lovely and the staff was super nice! I would absolutely stay again!

  It is a charming little hotel, we quite liked our room. The bathroom was a good size. It feels older which was nice for getting into the spirit of things. There is a great roof top deck with views of the grand canal and the roofs of Venice. Very easy to get to from the train station (although we took a water bus due to not wanting to deal with the stairs for the big bridge stairs across the grand canal due to our heavy luggage, you could also hire a porter to help). There is a hotel Ca'Nigra where you check in which is nice as well.
  
  What could be improved: It would be nice if there was reception in the hotel. The internet was very poor.

  Cute little place in Venice, not too far from train station. Check in is right across a little plaza in nearby hotel. Room and bath were large enough for European standards and bed was comfy.

  The hotel was old, but good: strategic location (3-minute walk to the Santa Lucia train station & bus stop) but a bit far from tourism objects (we didn't mind because we only stayed there a night). The check-in process was done in the other hotel accross it, which was a bit confusing, but it was okay! Everything was great for us. Thank you for the hospitality!

  The hotel is well located close to santa lucia train station and also to a vaporetto station. The reception staff was very helpful. When we booked this room we knew it was small, however all the facilities were available (minibar, airconditioning, bathroom equipped with all essential and a hair dryer) even a view of the grand canal which was great. The wifi was also great. Absolutely great value for money.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing that really bothered me. But there was a slight smell in the room, i think from the aircondition. The walls of the room are thin so you can hear adjacent rooms.
