The fondamenta (that’s the walkway along the canal) is perfect for morning coffee or evening wine — locals use it as their daily route, so you’ll see the same faces and start feeling like you belong. I mean, there’s something special about having your own little stretch of canal-side Venice.

The apartment itself strikes that sweet spot between authentic Venetian character and modern comfort. You’ll find original details like exposed beams and terrazzo floors, but also things that actually matter when you’re traveling — good Wi-Fi, a proper shower, and a kitchen that’s more than just decorative. The windows open right onto the canal, and honestly, waking up to the sound of water lapping against the building never gets old. It’s not huge (this is Venice, after all), but everything feels thoughtfully arranged.

Daily Life

What I love about staying here is how quickly you slip into a routine. There’s a little campo nearby where you can grab fresh bread in the morning, and the local bacaro serves cicchetti that’ll ruin you for bar snacks anywhere else. The vaporetto stop is close enough to be convenient but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant tourist foot traffic. You know what’s nice? Coming back after a day of sightseeing and actually feeling like you’re coming home, not just returning to a hotel room.

  Fantastic location, close to everything and we absolutely loved the Dorsoduro district. Especially the proximity to Campo Santa Margarita – a gem! A beautiful apartment that was so cosy and well presented. It had everything we needed. Antonella was a fabulous host, so helpful and attentive. We felt so lucky to have found her place. An absolute delight!

  Great location tucked away from the busy tourist areas but near some great bars and cafes.

  Nous avons apprécié la très jolie décoration de cet appartement spacieux et confortable (belle cuisine, belle salle de bain).
  Nous avons aimé les deux vraies chambres, dont une donnant sur le "rio". Les enfants avaient chacun leur lit.
  Les deux toilettes : pratique à 4 !
  Le calme et le charme du quartier.
  La proximité des "Zattere" où il fait bon se balader à toute heure.
  
  What could be improved: Le côté excentré fait parfois perdre un petit peu de temps pour les visites mais la contrepartie du calme en vaut la peine !
  L'appartement manque de lumière, ce qui doit être souvent le cas des logements vénitiens.

  The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood about 15 min walk from the Grand Canale. If you want to avoid the crowd you should definitely stay here. Supermarket is within 10 minutes walk. From the neighboring vaporetto stops it is quite easy to reach Saint Mark's Square or Giudecca island. The apartment is new, cozy and quiet and equipped with everything you might need for the stay.
